Well, not that great if I recall correctly. The ray bradbury theater also, isn't that great.
Would you agree though, that the show ray bradbury theater is basically a masterpiece... compared to the Hitchhiker?

A couple of years ago I bought a DVD compilation of The Hitchhiker which had just some random episodes on it. Not sure whether they ever released the complete series on DVD. Anyways, I always had a thing for anthology shows, but this one I thought was rather mediocre. I also don't get the point of the hitchhiker himself who aside from introducing them had nothing to do with most of the episodes.

Didnt the character work the same way as the man who introduced stories in the twilight zone ?

I only liked a few episodes of "Ray Bradbury Theatre". "The Lonely One" was good. Plus the Drew Barrymore and Shelley Duvall episodes. I prefer more horror centric Anthogy shows.

I liked quite a number of the Ray Bradburys. A few were duds, but most worked quite well, and caught the feel of Ray's stories not at all badly. Hitchhiker I don't recall well enough to even name any episodes, so I assume I wasn't terribly impressed by it.

So basically, all in all here's the thing.
The ray bradbury episodes, that he wrote when he was old all suck as far as I know. I mean, when he was about 70. Or older. He was not a good writer at that time. As far as short stories go. So, some of those might be worth watching for some reason or another. But the actual story on those ones are really lame.
For example a touch of petulance is really bad. The episode where he meets his future self on a train.
And the episode where some kid watches someone drown in a swimming pool.

I remember it and the Bradbury show. Larry "CHiPs" Wilcox was a producer of it.
Shot cheaply in Canada I think.
