That's about 20 hours in the theater with no intermission on May 4th with the episode movies in chronological order. Almost one day of your life spent just watching Star Wars movies. A Nine-Movie 'Star Wars' Marathon Is Coming to Theaterswww.yahoo.com/lifestyle/nine-movie-star-wars-marathon-175050391.html"It has nearly been 50 years since Star Wars first hit the big screen. Since then, a total of nine films in the Skywalker Saga have released, with 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as the most recent entry in the series. While many fans are preparing to catch Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in theaters once again for its 25th anniversary, it has now been announced that all nine films in the Skywalker Saga will be returning to theaters for a special marathon showing for May the 4th -- Star Wars' annual celebration of the franchise. Showings are said to be taking place at just 13 theaters around the United States, with over 20 hours of Star Wars action being showcased -- from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker in chronological order. For those looking to embark on the lengthy journey through all nine of Star Wars' Skywalker Saga films this May the 4th, select theaters are set to host marathons throughout the United States, visit Fandango for tickets and additional info. Ticket prices and amenities vary depending on location.

I saw a marathon of the Harry Potter movies, but it was split over 3 days. This sounds pretty intense, but only 14 theaters (which Fandango hasn't listed yet) so unlikely it will be playing near me. Me vowing never to watch Rise of Skywalker notwithstanding, though by that point I'd probably be in a coma anyway.

I don't know why Bumfuck, Utah gets this and not Vegas. Do Mormons like Star Wars?

I wouldn't even have to go too far to see it, but I wouldn't bother because I'd only want to watch the OT, anyway. Either way I've never been big on movie marathons, so I'll pass.

Don't know if I'd go. Not sure how I feel about marathoning in a theatre.

I would have asked why Virginia gets it, but I assume it's because of the Luke/Leia makeout session. To answer your question though, Mormons do like Star Wars, because they're entertaining and "family friendly" (not rated R). Also, I think some like them because of the clear cut good and evil characters and the themes of temptation and redemption.

I was uncomfortable after 3 films during the Indiana Jones marathon I attended. I left after Crusade. I can’t imagine sitting through all of these at one time. Especially knowing Attack of the Clones by itself put me to sleep at the theater originally. I guess I’d pick up some steam when the OT came on but I’d probably leave after Jedi.
