My fellow northeasterners; did you feel it? What a weird sensation.
I've been through earthquakes in LA before, but never felt it like that. My friends and family from all over the northeast seem to have experienced it, from Jersey to CT to Rhode Island.
4.8 originating in NJ.

I felt it. Quite strong for a Northeast earthquake. Yankees home opener. They are earth shaking this season

Philadelphia area here. I didn’t feel it but some of my coworkers did. My wife texted me in a panic. My office is always vibrating from helicopters, construction, and climate control, I must have tuned it out.

Oh yeah. Woke me up. Felt the vibration but it didn't make the stuff sway like the one we had back in August 2011. That's the last time I remember any noticeable earthquake activity here in New Jersey.

It's possible you were farther away from where it was as intense too, but that's what I thought it was... the building was shaking and I assumed some crazy intense construction was happening and they just didn't alert us. Nothing fell or broke our anything, but everything shook and rattled.

Oddly didn't feel it here at work, but my wife texted me about it from home, which is maybe ten miles as the crow flies. She was on a meeting and the whole house shook, everyone else on the call felt it too.

I was talking to a friend from Brooklyn right when it happened. He yelled "we are having an earthquake" and I thought he was full of shit. MLB Central was on my TV and they showed the overhead light swaying.

Don't get earthquakes here... I took a turn on an earthquake simulator at a natural science museum. It allegedly simulated one of the worst earthquakes recorded. Didn't do much for me, but I guess it's not the same without crevasses yawning open in the ground and buildings collapsing around you.

Felt it here at the Jersey Shore. Whole house shook for at least 10 seconds. Very weird. Just glad we are on Spring Break. If we were in school, the main office phone would've been ringing off the hook!

I was at the Javits Center at the time and didn't feel a thing, oddly enough. I remember the one from 13 years ago, that one I definitely felt.

Did anybody else just feel an aftershock?
That was weird too.
