Which did you like better?
I think it's fairly obvious that the 2018 film was better. Being tied to the MCU certainly worked in its favor and I thought Seth Green's voice was a much better fit than Chip Zien.

I will say that the story behind the 1986 film is a wild one, the YouTube channel Yesterworld Entertainment has a pretty nifty video about it.

I haven't seen the 2018 version. I didn't even know there was a 2018 version. But I created my IMDb profile to post a scathing review of the 1986 film in which I declared, "Two hours of unexposed film stock has more entertainment value". Therefore, I feel confident in voting for the 2018 version sight unseen.

The one that is better is the one that exists...
In my memory. Because I've seen it. In other words the 1986 film.

Great review, too, alpha. Interesting to know that you were also a guitar player in a Cleveland rock band. I never had any great love for Howard The Duck either, but I remember being impressed with the Dark Overlord special effects and that's about it.

And for the record, I was a bass guitar player (and vocalist) in a Cleveland area rock band. I still jam with friends occasionally and still have the 125 pound bass amp (and the dolly I purchased the day after I bought my amp!) Also, I know you will be interested to know that I will be starting a new quote thread in the Movie Quotes board later today. Watch for it!

Looking forward to your contributions!
