Special mention to the mini fight between the thug and the lady cop to the left of Bane.

Should be better than 71.

Roadhouse had this gem when Dalton is fighting Jimmy - “You’re such an asshole.” Bane used to fuck guys like Bruce in prison, too.

I don't take the IMDB Top 250 seriously anyway, even though I am a fan of TDKR. Let's not pretend we don't know why the movie is as high as it is. Practically his entire filmography in in the Top 50.
I mean The Dark Knight being #4 or whatever is already ridiculous and I absolute love that movie. The Shawshank Redemption being #1 is downright laughable imo.

The IMDB Top 250 list can be helpful in finding great movies since there are legitimately great movies on it and deserving of their inclusions and rankings.
But there are a lot of films on it that are included, and have their high rankings, due to votes based solely on popularity, favoritism, biased voting, etc.

Interstellar is even higher and I disagree with its placement on the list more.

I actually don't have any problem with that line, the kind of badly staged background fighting I find more distracting.
also while the IMDB Top 250 gets some flack, I don't really mind it. I have some quibbles with the placements of certain movies definitely, but I think for the vast majority of movies on there are either really good or great. Better than Rotten Tomatoes where Black Panther and Get Out are the best movies ever made according to ratings.

Even though it's a flawed finale, I do think The Dark Knight Rises is a good ending overall to the Nolan Batman trilogy.
For some negatives, the script is the sloppiest of the three Nolan Batman films. Meaning it has the most plot holes, errors, etc. It feels like this movie was most made for financial reasons than creative ones compared to the previous films where Nolan said what he wanted to say, but at least the two Nolans brothers still give it a good try even if their reach exceeds their grasp on topics like mortality, human nature, etc.
Tom Hardy isn't as good as Heath Ledger, but he's good enough (I don't think his voice is as bad as people make it out to be). He's at least a menacing brute if not a wild anarchist like The Joker. If Heath Ledger is the "Alan Rickman in Die Hard" of Nolan’s Batman movies, then Tom Hardy is the "William Sadler in Die Hard 2" of Nolan’s Batman movies.
For some positives, Nolan doesn't try to outdo The Dark Knight overall, just rehash what was done before, or just feel like he's just tying up loose ends. He at least tries to tackle aforementioned topics like mortality, human nature, etc. Compared it other third films, it doesn't feel like he's treading water, going off in a crazy direction, or feeling a compulsive need to outdo The Dark Knight in every way. He is focused on using Gotham City as a big canvas for his story although his Batman character is given the least focus of his Batman movies here (but at least remember that Batman was basically a secondary character in the Burton movies).
The cast also gives good performances overall and the previous actors have reached maturity in their character portrayals. The new actors, like Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Lecitt do well overall.
And I don't have a problem with the one character death so many people think is poorly performed (but that's just me and I'm no drama critic or acting coach).
The action scenes, like with the previous Batman movies, are good overall (the first one-on-one fight with Bane and Batman is a highlight), and the movie is top-notch once again in terms of cinematography, score, production design, etc.
So while Nolan has some trouble sticking the landing for his Batman trilogy, he is able to land the plane thanks to his focus on interesting topics, his scope, his action/fights, his top technical aspects, and a solid cast at his disposal. Even if things like some scripting sloppiness, franchise fatigue, and certain things/people simply not reaching the level of what was done before hurt the movie somewhat.

If Heath Ledger is the "Alan Rickman in Die Hard" of Nolan’s Batman movies, then Tom Hardy is the "William Sadler in Die Hard 2" of Nolan’s Batman movies. I actually think at this point it's more controversial to bash Hardy's Bane than it is to praise him. The character had a curious Internet life cycle of going from a meme to people loving him unironically. I for one still dislike the voice (except when being parodied, ie the Lego Bane and Hadley Quinn HBO series), as I do his treatment in the film. Talk about Snoke, 5 years earlier this guy came into the scene set up a big menace only to be reduced to a sniveling cuck/henchman before being shot and disposed of by Catwoman with less fanfare than a stormtrooper.
