Even though the cubs waited longer, i think the soxs' curse was worse. Because they made the world series four time in between. ALL WENT TO 7 GAMES.
In the 75 series, after a walk off home run in game 6 for the sox, the sox pitcher threw an EPHUS pitch to a reds hitter and he crushed it. Then the 86 series, we all know that. Then the 03 ALCS
Not to mention the 1978 collapse. There were tons of moments the red sox had a good chance of wining a championship but blew it.
The Cubs, not so much. i know there was an NLCS in the 80's they blew a big lead, but the sox was more famous IMO

For me I cheered for the Red Sox curse to continue, but for the Cubs drought to end. I didn't care much either way about the White Sox.

There was also "Pesky's Pause" in the 1946 WS 1948 season when Joe McCarthy started the Bum Denny Galehouse in the one game playoff v. the Indians 1949 - needed to win one game out of the last two for the pennant. They didn't. 1967 - "The Impossible Dream" ends when Jim Lonborg gets shelled in Game 7 of the WS
The Cubs were a shipwreck after 1945. A couple decent seasons, 1969, 1984, 1989. But, with the exception of the Bartman Game, there was never the near misses that happened to the Red Sox.
