Based on the ballet SWAN LAKE, a princess named ODETTE turns into a swan during the day and she's able to become a human again at night if she is on a lake under the moonlight. DEREK, the prince, should be happy. This way, he gets the privilege of sex without all the disadvantages of a relationship. You know, like conversations. The movie opens with KING WILLIAM holding baby ODETTE. Somehow, throughout the movie, there's no mention of her mother. Or DEREK's father, for that matter. WILLIAM wants to banish evil wizard ROTHBART. Even though ROTHBART pushes the guards while they try to restrain him, WILLIAM doesn't order the guards to attack him (it would've been justified). The narrator says that everyone thinks he was too kind. Stupid would be a better word. Is anyone really surprised that ROTHBART comes back years later to get revenge? ------------------------------------- You can read the full review in my blog (in English, in Spanish or in Italian) and/or watch the video review:
