If you only have daytime, do you have to fast continually? Some Muslim scholars advise using the day length in Mecca, others to follow the closest country in which night can be determined from day. That could still mean something like a 21 hour fast. What to do if you are devout?

Places with midnight sun means places that the sun never sets during the summer months. If they have Ramadan then, and followed the "no eating between sunset and sunrise" rule they couldn't eat for a month.

Muslims either follow the timings of Mecca or of a closest country with a reasonable day/night division.

What to do if you are devout?I would realise that the fact that God used a calendar that is completely wrong when transmitting his final, perfect message to mankind either means that God is not omniscient, or that said message is not really from God. Either way, I would stop believing.
