What rating would you give Scarface and why? I saw this movie in my late teens, and at the time I thought that it was one of the coolest movies ever. It's my favorite De Palma movie. I'd give it a solid 8/10. I'm still loving it now!

9/10 - Love De Palma movies, and Al Pacino is easily one of my all time favorite actors. Pretty cool movie.

A phrase from this movie made it to AFI greatest 100 quotes from movies, something about a little friend. right up there with "children of the night", "the need for speed", "king of the world" and "here's another fine mess you got me into"

Wow, two 1/10s?
Scarface is either a 9 or 10 for me. Have to rewatch to decide.

10/10.
Al Pacino was absolutely terrifying in this movie as Tony Montana. It also put Michelle Pfeiffer on the map after that forgettable Grease 2 (1982) film.
I can also semi-relate to the movie. Back in May of 1980, my father was in the Military and was called to Key West, FL for the Mariel Boatlift. It kinda hits home.

Just rewatched. 10/10. Absolutely love everything about the film and I think it's Al Paccino's best performance to date.

Such a silly movie, especially Pacino and his absurd accent. Once again it's clear why I don't like De Palma, even though it's probably one of his better movies.

Recently rewatched this.
8/10, despite a bit of campiness to Pacino's performance.

6/10. It commits to the ugly griminess of the story and Al Pacino is a riot. But it's another case of a movie overstaying its welcome.

I didn't realize how divisive these scores would be.

10. Not only is it a great movie, but also a remake that beats the original.
