These are photos I recently took using a 1930s cheapo camera called the Kodak Baby Brownie, manufactured in the U.S, which was introduced in July 1934 at the cost of $1, and was made until 1941. It resumed production in 1948, this time in the UK, and continued until 1952. Adjusted for inflation, its original $1 price in July 1934 would be equivalent to $18.26 in 2017 money. Needless to say, this was a low-end model. It has a fixed-focus meniscus lens, a single aperture, a single shutter speed, and takes 127 film. Here are some photos I recently took using the camera. Most of them depict Mount Dandenong in Victoria, Australia (the last two were taken in Olinda, which is next to Mount Dandenong). The film used is Rera Pan 100.

...very nice shots. I shot a roll of 127 roll film on a early 1930's Agfa-Gaeveart (SP?) half frame camera. This was in the late 1970's. I still have the camera but I have misplaced the shots. This camera was a preceded by several decades until the introduction of the Olympus Pen FT half frame camera which I also onw one with several interchangeable lenses. With the Pen FT, on a 36 shot roll, your got 72 exposures. Excellent quality as well.

The closest I've got is the Spartus Miniature, a 1940s 127 film camera which isn't very good. I imagine a half-frame 35mm film camera would be excellent for street photography and such.

...I have shot thousands of pics with my Pen FT. The Zuiko lenses are absolutely incredible for their quality. A half frame shot with my Pen FT can be blown up to 11x14 without any image degradation.
I currently use a Rollei 35 (German made) which requires manual settings but the results are amazing when care is taken with the settings...I love this camera because of its diminutive size...
