When I first went to go see Age of Ultron, I had no idea that Vision was going to be in it. It was only after that I found out he was in one of the trailers, but since I don't watch them, I had this amazing experience of seeing Ultron set the gem in his forehead and wondering to myself "wait, that looks a little like Vision, is it possible that is Vision?" I didn't know if Ultron would finish that body or not and even when he didn't I wasn't sure. Not even when Thor lit up the cradle. But when Vision came popping out of it, I had a massive "HOLY FUCK IT'S VISION!!!!!!" moment, and I'm telling you right now, not watching the trailers is worth every second you wait for feeling that type of reaction.

I can imagine that but I dont have the discipline to not watch them. At least I watch the first two. The rest I dont. Not even the spots. I dont read or view reviews though. Not until I have seen a movie myself.

I agree. Our tendency to dissect every minuscule piece of marketing the suits put out is toxic and counterproductive. I'm strongly reconsidering how and if I decide to consume promotional materials.

Definitely. I wish I could do that. I think I might try it with The Last Jedi.

I watch trailers, but I never analyze them frame by frame. That's just a time waster.

SaveSaveI can be a bit of a news junkie, too, at times when its something I'm really excited about, like the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's It. I have gone against my usual operating procedure is just watching the trailer once and that's it to watch or read some analysis of they've shown us in the trailer, mostly because I'm trying to gauge how close they're going to stick to the book this time.

I love to watch trailer reactions. Usually the people go crazy at the same moments I do.

I remember I didn't see a single trailer or clip from Anchorman before I saw it. I had no idea it was going to be so ridiculously hilarious. It's pretty crazy, but damn amazing to not watch trailers.

They still keep some surprises from the trailers. "HOLY FUCK IT'S GIANT MAN" was one of the best moments in the MCU for me. No trailers spoilt that. I noticed the Infinity War trailers had a few fake scenes which masked a few nice surprises in the film.
