The 80's are probably my favourite decade for music, but there are so many acts on that list that wish I had forgotten. A lot of stuff I'd never care to hear again

The UK 100 is much better the_100_biggest_acts_of_the_80s_in_the_u_k_Features acts like The Cure, The Jam, The Specials, Soft Cell, Human League, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, Depeche Mode, Madness, New Order, The Stranglers, Siouxsie & The Banshees (all of which are nowhere in the US 200) And is devoid of the likes of Rick Springfield, Miami Sound Machine, Corey Hart, Night Ranger, Eddie Rabbit, John Mellencamp, Juice Newton etc (a lot of these made little or no impact in the UK)

Sorry, but my personal list of unforgettable acts from the 80s would include Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio and Ozzy Osbourne. The only band on that list that is even represented in my CD collection is #35, Van Halen.

The Police Thompson Twins Talking Heads Peter Gabriel R.E.M. Prince Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Pretenders
Some I liked better in other decades. Why are they showing 1971's Nursery Cryme for Genesis?

I was thinking the other day how much I liked Juice Newton's early hits.

Terrible list for such a good decade, but I see it's based on "Weeks Charted", so no surprise

I wonder if 80s music has a higher regard on different sides of the Atlantic. IMO the UK 100 has a much better selection than the US 200.
