I enjoyed the call back line last night, "I wish you good fortune in the wars to come." That's what Ser Arthur Dayne said to Ned before the battle at the Tower of Joy. It's also what Mance Rayder said to Stannis just before being executed. Nice, I missed that.

There is one more person alive who knows about their child - Howland Reed (Meera's and Jojen's father). We actually haven't seen Howland Reed during the entirety of the series except in Bran's visions of the Tower of Joy. It's been speculated that he has a part to play as he's a pretty important character in the books. Time will tell. We can assume at least one of the nurses (there were multiple women in the scene, right?) are still alive and they know the truth. When I said nobody I meant the general public, but yeah Howland is out there somewhere. We still haven't met Howland in the books, either. And as they're apparently writing out Meera on the show, I wonder how relevant Howland will be to the show at this point. I enjoyed the call back line last night, "I wish you good fortune in the wars to come." That's what Ser Arthur Dayne said to Ned before the battle at the Tower of Joy. Ahh my bad, I thought Howland was a prevalent figure in the books (I only read the first one).

During the last scene, the theme from The Magnificent Seven went through my head. No horses and the weather was slightly different but that popped into my head.
And could Cercei be lying about having a little lion in the oven? Jamie looked like he was about to jump ship. Cercei had to have made a mess in her golden knickers when she found out that her little brothers were meeting behind her back. And she knows everything, Qyburn has Varys' spy network. The Kingslayer seems to do a 360 when he finds out he's going to be a proud Poppa. And we kn ow form the prophecy that teen Cercei heard that she will only have three lion cubs. She could croak, she could lose it, or she could be spinning a tale.
Look at me, I'm becoming nerdy. I should slap my wife for getting me into this. Next I'll be discussing Sauron v. Darth Vader for hours.

Uhh, you do realize this show - in its seventh season - has actually gotten better.
I liked the show...but never looked forward to watching it. Most episodes were a slog to get through. So many useless and dull plot lines, so many useless and extraneous (look that one up, kiddies) characters. The show was always in need of a good producer and editor.
But being that we are coming to the end, the show has been streamlined. Entire families and houses have been (thankfully) erased from the series. We are now just focusing on a few story lines which are now all closely linked together. Every time we jump to another location its situation is 100% linked with the storyline we just left.
And after six seasons that moved like a slug, somebody bought a "Storytelling For Idiots" book and things are now moving quickly. Pacing has been fixed. Take Tyrion last night, for instance. He said he wanted to meet with Jamie in King's Landing. In past seasons that would mean we'd have to wait three episodes until that meeting occurred. Not anymore. Fifteen minutes after Tyrion said that, he was actually meeting with Jamie! Hallelujah! Same with Jon Snow going to the wall. Bingo, five minutes later (not next season later) he is there.
The show finally got very good. Streamlined and pacing -- vast improvements. Took 7 seasons, but, wow, it is good.

On his way he met Qyburn who tried to tell him something and when we were shown Cercei face it was bewildered, genuinely worried...I guess that was the time she had learned about her situation and that's also the reason why Qyburn was also a second time present in her private chambers. But Cercei is relatively old and we all know the prophecy...it will most likely be a stillbirth, or she dies before she could give birth. And she should know it...maybe that's why she was (is?) taht worried.

What website do you guys stream it on, if any? The one I use is failing more often lately.

Can Sansa just kill Arya and Jon, join up with Littlefinger, and just end the suspense already?

Can Sansa just kill Arya and Jon, join up with Littlefinger, and just end the suspense already? According to the leaks, and they have been pretty accurate lately, the wolfs plack will have a successful joint command operation...so to speak. Sansa - Brain Bran - Eyes and Oears Arya - Muscles

Latest ep only got 6.9. on IGN. Probably watch it tonight, only keep the good ones for the weekend. Not surprising when you consider that it was probably the most brainless, logic-defying episode in the entire series. *SPOILERS* In the time it took for Gendry to run all the way back to the Wall, send a raven all the way to Dragonstone, and for Dany to fly all the way beyond the Wall, Jon and co were just sitting on that slope surrounded by watching foes? Either Dragonstone is literally just down the road or these writers think we're completely retarded. I know we're at a point where you have to try not to get too hung up on things like timing and geography but there's a limit. And why'd they take a damn boat back at the end? They have a dragon who can cross a continent in about half an hour! Benioff and Weiss were licking their chops at all the possible character interactions to play with at the end of the last episode, and how'd they explore it? With multiple, almost identical scenes with Jon and co walking across the snow in different combinations of pairings, chatting. With all the possibilities, these chats reveal nothing about these characters whatsoever that we don't already know. What nuance! The actual fighting was a bit like Hardhome, except with much less imagination and depth. But depth is something that must be sacrificed when you have a season as truncated as this one. And that business in Winterfell? Arya has become an awful character, apparently no match at all for Littlefinger who completely manipulated her at the first attempt. Her and Sansa have each been through so much, yet the episode seems to suggest that they haven't even tried to talk about any of it once to each other. And why isn't Jon sending ravens to Winterfell? Sure, it was visually splendid watching Dragonfire rain down on White Walkers, and amazing to see the Night King bring down and bring back a dragon... but visual splendor is all this episode had going for it. All things considered, it's probably the most disappointing episode of all, for me. Still, next week looks good.

So an ice dragon... it can just carry the Nights King over the wall etc and he can bring it down? That's a way to start season 8.
