Everybody else might prefer Charlie Chaplin, but I think Buster Keaton is the best 1920s silent comedian. I've always said they both make you laugh, but Buster aims right for the funny bone while Charlie takes a detour through the tear ducts.

I love Buster Keaton. I even love his beer commercials (he revived some of his silent-era gags in them).

Keaton's been a favorite since childhood when I used to watch him with my dad.

If I had to choose I definitely would go with Buster Keaton and especially liked how he was on an episode of The Twilight Zone called "Once Upon a Time" S3 E13 1961 in his later career . Also discovered this fine actor watching some of his silent films on TCM ( Turner Classic Movies ) as well . Thanks novastar6 for your subject post .

What I remember Buster Keaton for the most is that episode of Twilight Zone that he was on, "Once Upon a Time."
