YOU CAN VOTE TWICE.
So the X-Men franchise is here to stay, right? And they'll be branching out soon: Gambit, New Mutants, X-Force, etc. With that in mind look at how IMDB users ranked the X-Men movies so far: 1) Logan 2) Deadpool 3) X-Men: Days of Future Past 4) X-Men: First Class 5) X2: X-Men United 6) X-Men 7) X-Men Apocalypse 8) X-Men Origins: Wolverine 9) The Wolverine 10) X-Men The Last Stand
Uh uh, Logan and Deadpool were great, but no way were they better than Days of Future Past. And no way does Apocalypse rank as 7th best. That movie was poo poo; definitely one of the worst. The Wolverine was way better than that, and way better than Origins: Wolverine. IMO. My ranking is more like this:
1) X-Men: Days of Future Past 2) X2: X-Men United 3) Logan 4) Deadpool 5) X-Men: First Class 6) X-Men 7) The Wolverine 8) X-Men The Last Stand 9) X-Men Apocalypse 10) X-Men Origins: Wolverine
What do you guys think? What type movie do you want to see moving forward?

I would rather the filmmakers took more inspiration from the 90s animated series and X-Men: Evolution. None of the films have been that good or even decent representations of the X-Men at all.

My greatest issue with the X-Men movies, even the ones I liked a lot, is that they play so fast and loose with the continuity. It's like they don't give a shit at all.
Also, how they pick and choose characters to put into a story that make no sense. Wtf was up with two separate Sabretooths? Wtf was Emma Frost doing in Origins Wolverine and then they put her in First Class without so much as a mention. Wtf was Sunspot doing in DOFP and now we know he's going to be in New Mutants too? Wtf was Jubilee doing in Apocalypse? At all? And as much as I love JLaw why wtf is Mystique in a leader role in the X-men?
Do they actually read the comics or are they just reading characters off a list with no reference as to who they are? I imagine the meetings go like this: "Eenie, meanie, miny, moe, that one!" "Uh, but it doesn't make sense..." "The audience doesn't care! And you're fired!"

Unfortunately, they're right and there are too few X-Men fans that care. I'll forgive Fox when the Juggernaut, the REAL Juggernaut, as in Xavier's bitter step-brother shows up, but not as a mutant, but hulked out by that gem.

And yeah, the audience at large probably doesn't care.

And they should. This is why I like the MCU. They change things to fit the screen. Fox and Brian Singer change things just because and frankly, I'm tired of it.

Yeah, but at least when Brian Singer makes changes it usually makes dramatic sense, even if it doesn't make comic book or continuity sense. You cant argue that his are the most popular/best of the X-Men movies (except for Apocalypse. I don't know wtf happened there. Rush job, I think).

Logan is BY FAR the best. DOFP second. Deadpool/First X-Men for third.

That, and they build up to Apocalypse the way they should have. He's a presence that should have been felt in the background of the previous two films instead of just showing up. And they didn't give the actor much to work with. You could tell Oscar Isaac wanted this to be a character, and he was trying so hard.

To be honest the only one I remember really liking was Days of Future Past, but even then they still disregarded that story by making wolverine the time traveller. If Bryan Singer is actually a comics fan, which he claims to be, (which is BS) then Kitty Pryde would have been the time traveller, not wolverine.

I never read the comics in question (I used to be a big fan of X-Men comics, but that was a LONG time ago), but in the movie it was only a person's conscience that was traveling to his/her earlier body, so it wouldn't have worked with Kitty Pryde, who certainly wasn't even born in the early 1970s.

i picked Days of Future Past and Deadpool. i could swap either one with Logan on a whim.
i do not know what you saw in the Wolverine. "better than Origins" is no kind of an endorsement in my mind.

Logan and Apocalypse for me. I could have added X2, Deadpool or Days of Future past, but if I had to pick 2, it would be Logan and Apocalypse.
Yes, Apocalypse. That is a good movie, which finally tried to set up a real X-Men team. Tried, not saying they were succesful, but I really like that movie.
