As usual, making sure I include all the classics first, then a cross section including most of the earliest ones, latest ones, ones with small roles, etc.

I want to finish the Longest Day. I just have to put aside 3 hours. Maybe Saturday morning while I drink my coffee.

Am I blind, or can I not see The Wild Bunch in there?

Lawman is a fine film IMO.
I also like God's Little Acre.

Robert Ryan was very good in playing persons you wasn't sure to trust. He could turn bad or good. He did a nearly nice guy in a Greer Garson Movie.
The Wild Bunch is so obvious so it's smart leaving it out.

As usual, making sure I include all the classics first. ...apart from Day of rhe Outlaw, my favourite along with Billy Budd. Ryan is one of my favourite actors, and brings something to every film he was in. Few actors did grim intensity so well.

Very surprised that a "fluff" movie THE PROFESSIONALS is in first place over all the classics. THE PROFESSIONALS has that iconic last famous line, but really is just a lot of mindless violence without any credible motivation. It's got star appeal and icon appeal, but surprised that it is in first place over the classics. However, the classics are taking almost all of the runner up spots.
