If whoever decides to adapt The Simarillion to a live action format, how would you like to see it done?

the Silmarillion takes place over centuries if i remember, i don't think they could fit it into even a trilogy of movies without cutting out a lot of material.
they should probably just leave it alone & allow fans to actually read the books instead of waiting for a new movie, & never reading the book.

If whoever decides to adapt The Simarillion to a live action format, how would you like to see it done? There are like 100 different stories in there, so it depends on what you mean by The Silmarillion. It's not one cohesive story, so it would really depend.

I think it could be made in a TV series, with a big budget, like GoT. Each episode could be one chapter/ story. They are not irrelevant with one another.

I know there's different stories, I'm just saying if someone decided to adapt it as live action how would you think it should be done. If they did it as a film I'd assume it be done as a Anthology film or An Anthology series with The Silmarillion.

They may pick a story or two they want to do, but I don't think anybody is sitting there saying to themselves "damn if we're going to make one of these stories we have to make them all".
Honestly, I don't think they'll make any of them, and here's why. It's too disjointed. Outside of Elrond and Galadriel, there are no familiar characters

A miniseries format would be best but hell, just let Jackson round it out with more films, and I say this as someone lukewarm on them.

I've longed for a Silmarillion tv series for a couple decades now.

It would have to be a TV series. A movie wouldn't work.
Children of Hurin, on the other hand....

Preferably a TV series, as there's way too much material to fit into a movie trilogy.

I would love to see a Silmarillion TV series like Game of Thrones. But that happening depends 100% on the decision of the Tolkien estate. And right now the Tolkien estate is completely against any kind of dramatized big budget film/TV depiction of the Silmarillion.
Imo at least, BB ;-)
