In the infinity gauntlet comic story there was a panel that showed a Trump property get destroyed by Thanos .
Think we'll get something similar for infinity war?

No, please. I hear about this man everyday now as it is. Please just let the MCU films allow me two hour breaks from that.

well........you have Ike Perlmutter who does have ties with the MCU and is chummy with our current president....so he probably wouldn't approve....but then we also have Bob Iger who has flirted with the idea of running on the Democratic side, who may too "flirt" with the idea.
but if they're smart, they'll avoid something like this.

that is some unintentionally prophetic imagery there. Trump is the best thing since Jabba the Hutt, his and his ilk's antics entertain and amaze me on a daily basis more than any CBM ever could.
Including this would take balls, and writing wise it must be tied into the narrative themes and messages. G Lucas did it in Sith (You are either with me or you are my enemy. Only a Sith deals in absolutes). But that shot at 9/11-Bush was artistically tied into the narrative of the downfall of a republic, it's values and institutions (Jedi), and of a person corrupted by a demagogue and his own fears and desires.
What would be the artistic point of this? A cheap shot at a silly president?

Judging from the leaked infinity war teaser it looks like there'll be a lot of destruction in the film. Traditionally films with massive amount of destruction love to show off iconic locations/buildings getting destroyed. Trump's tower, regardless of whatever your political leanings, is iconic. They don't really have to have a close up shot on it. Just put in in the background among the destruction. Not saying it has to happen but it would have been a nice little nod to the comic.

Not saying it has to happen but it would have been a nice little nod to the comic. lol, fair enough, you are really arguing source material authenticity. But unlike in the time the comic was made, now the destruction of the Trump Tower equals a political statement (Anti-Trump). Knowing Marvel/Disney I bet they will avoid any statement of this sort at all costs, maybe replacing it e.g., by the Chrysler building collapsing or whatever else. Another example from DC: In the iconic F. Miller TDK Returns comic Gordon is smoking a big cigar in some scene in front of conversation partners. Now (30+ years later) in the - good! - cartoon film in the same scene Gordon only chews and offers nicotine replacement gums...times and policy changes everything, not always for the better...
