No "Hunchback of Notre Dame"? That one featured implied rape, damnation, and genocide.

12 Disney Films Too Creepy for Kids12. Return From Witch Mountain 8. The Black Hole 6. Escape to Witch Mountain 3. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad 2. Return to Oz 1. Something Wicked This Way Comes Disney Does Scary I watched half of these 12 films 35 years ago, when I was growing up, and I never ran to "Mommy" crying my eyes out... And no one I went to school with had any issues with them either... Sounds like children are being raised to be a bunch of snowflakes today. 5. The Watcher in the Woods Now, as for that one... I didn't watch that one as a kid... I had seen the "trailer" segment that was part of the Disney Home Video "Walt Disney And You" Advertisement that was included on all the VHS tapes that were available to rent in the 1980s... And that looked like a full fledged horror movie to me, at least at that time... I finally saw it just a few years ago, because having remembered that trailer for all those years, I was curious to see what it was about... Yeah, I am glad I didn't watch it THEN. I'm kind of surprised that Disney was willing to distribute that film.

Everything Ray Bradbury wrote was creepy. Even his funny stories were creepy.
Good movie, but not really a kid's movie, even though the two main characters were kids.
Pam Grier was awesome. Looks like she did her own dancing instead of being doubled, but it was a dark shot and I can't be sure if it was really her.

actually i still have never seen the wizard of oz because the munchkin things scared me⦠and is it true that one of them hung themselves on film?? That used to scare me too and why I didn't want to watch it. No, it is just a giant bird that had wandered onto the set. There are a few rumors that the film originally had the hanging, but that it was edited out and replaced with a bird. These rumors got a huge uprise, when a YouTuber who called himself "SuicidalMunchkin" uploaded a video of himself getting out a VHS copy of the movie from 1986 and popping it into his VCR and showing the "real" hanging. This video has since been re-uploaded by other YouTubers and is now so widespread that people think it's legit. But it is completely fake. I will list the reasons why it is fake: 1. The picture quality in the video that the guy shows has very faded colors, which likely indicates that it's a video he edited and then recorded onto the VHS he popped in. 2. The label of the VHS was crooked, which indicates that he took the label from the original VHS and stick it onto the one he recorded his photoshopped footage onto. 3. The VHS tape said "SCOTCH" on it, which was a company that did not exist in 1986, and which only made blank tapes and VHS cleaning tapes. 4. If you look closely in the video, you can see that SuicidalMunchkin failed to edit out the tips of the bird's wings at one point, proving that it's a Photoshop. Watch the below video to see where someone points this out: m.youtube.com/watch?v=aAqvkj3HtGY5. All YouTube videos that show the "real" hanging are copied from SuicidalMunchkin's, and no such videos surfaced until his video was uploaded. 6. Trailers dating back to the 1940's depict the bird, not the hanging, and they were uploaded long before SuicidalMunchkin's video. 6. There is another video where someone orders a VHS tape from 1985 (the year before SuicidalMunchkin's VHS tape was printed), and puts it in, and it has the bird. Some have argued that the hanging was edited out in 1985, but that the later 1986 VHS uses the original print off the movie, but this is just grasping at straws, because I don't think the producers would want to release that footage after taking the time to hide it. Here's that video: m.youtube.com/watch?v=H0P7bZZEL4g7. The hanging looks more like a sack of rocks than a body in the Photoshop. Even in SuicidalMunchkin's video, you can see the bird walking around earlier in the scene, next to the cottage, even though it was supposedly something that was added later. Some have further argued that SuicidalMunchkin's video is indeed fake, but that the "real" hanging is in the original Black and White version of the movie that people claim existed. But the movie was always in color, so this is another empty argument. It's also interesting to note that I actually commented on SuicidalMunchkin's video about a year ago, giving all this information to prove him wrong that I gave above, and shortly after that, he took his entire channel with all the videos down. I think that this indicates more than anything that he was fraud, and that he must have realized that I exposed him.

Was suicidalmunchkin the person who actually photoshopped the video or just the one who originally posted it online? apparently the hanging munchkin video was released in the late 1980s .. some of the videos had the bird but others had the hanging munchkin which could really add to the confusion.

Had the footage existed before that I'm sure someone else would have beat him to the punch and uploaded it themselves, due to all the stories going around and people claiming that they saw an actual hanging Munchkin on their copies of the movie.
