I posted before I saw that scene with P&J bonding. Jon has TWO new buddies. Podrick seems a lot more confident than he used to be. He even got a joke in on the King of the North and Jon actually sort of grinned. I didn't know he could.

Isn't Sam still technically in the Nights Watch?

Isn't Sam still technically in the Nights Watch? Yes, of course. So realistically he could get hung if any lords find out who he is and that he's left the Citadel. Unless he goes right back to the Wall. He's also not entitled to Tarly lands or castles.

If he is still wearing black, he needs to justify his whereabouts and there is no doubt he has some document from Jon to this effect. If he's changed clothes, which is probable, no one would know who he is in the first place.

Jon has a new buddy and Samwell is now a lord, right? Now he can get him some proper wenches. Samwell has renouced all his claims to Hornhill. But of course: when Dany wins and the realm survives and the Nightwatch is no longer needed and disbanded, he can be granted his titels back - or his "son" is declared the rightful heir to Hornhill - a trueborn wildling of incestious origin...how the old Tarley would love this idea. But so far house Tarley might be ruled by his mother, who will bend the knee for she is not like her late husband.

With this new accelerated pace I must admit I forgot about all the restrictions the oath demands. Before I hang my head in shame though, I think most of the Nightswatch forgot about the oath too. For that matter how many of the people at the wall now even took the oath? I guess that doesn't excuse Sam from abiding by it even though he has been banging and sort of has a wife which are both violations. Hell winter is here so does it even matter anymore?
I do like the idea of baby Sam being the Lord despite not even being big Sam's actual kid.

Pity, nobody remembers Sam's sister, the new lady of Horn Hill. Hells, I bet the show itself and the actress forgot her.

I wonder if she and the mom and Sam for that matter will be very upset about Randyl getting torched? He was obviously an uptight douchebag but he was still their dad. Also how was Prickon a GQ model but Sam was.......well Sam? Maybe the Mom was banging the rotund but charming and good natured stable boy?

Count me in as a fan of the Gendry-Jon bro-ness. And of the Jon-Dragon bro-ness. If they kill any of them, I will punch my tv in the face and break my hand at the same time.
