I didn't mind when they announced Ben Affleck as Batman. I never heard of Gal Gadot before she was announced as Wonder Woman so I didn't know what to make of her at the time but I have never been a fan of the casting for Lex Luthor. Some people like him so he must be doing something right for them but I think they should have gone with an actor who was a few years older than Henry Cavail so they could have played out the former best friends angle 'cause I think having Lex and Clark as former best friends made it a lot more personal between them and Clark got to see Lex's descent into darkness and blamed himself for it. To me, Michael Rosenbaum and John Shea's versions of Lex Luthor will always be the best. Michael Rosenbaum IS Lex Luthor as far as I am concerned. He was flawless in the role.

He was pretty much Jim Carreys Ridder in a nutshell. Honestly I could see Esienberg playing the comic book riddler I think Eisenberg would make a great Arcade in an X-men movie.

Doesn't matter who's playing the character. If it's that ridiculous shittily written, over the top, ADD version that we've seen, might as well stick with Eisenberg.

I reckon it's not hard to find a better actor to play Lex than Eisenberg. That was such a bad casting call. Lex needs to be imposing. This is a guy who's not only a genius but knows how to wield and gain power. He became the president for crying out loud. And that kind of confidence needs to be reflected in the way he speaks, moves and looks. Eisenberg just ain't it.

Eisenberg wouldn't be my ideal pick Yeah, and John Wayne as Genghis Khan wasn't "ideal" either...

I think it is going to be quite difficult for any movie to pull off a version as good as that again and I would actually prefer to see him again in a 'Smallville' movie just to see what the dynamic between Clark and him was like in the future. It is a shame we never got the rumoured 'Metropolis' TV show but I don't think Warner Bros would let them use the characters now with the Arrowverse using some of them 'cause they would probably think it was too confusing for fans.
