The Australian TV series "Brian Henderson's Bandstand" was still being kinescoped in 1970.
Or rather, it was shot on tape, but kinescopes were made for rural stations that showed the program on a delay basis and did not have video-tape equipment of their own. It seems no tapes of the series survive, but various kinescopes remain.
As such, here are clips from 1970 episodes that survive as kinescopes. If you ever wondered what 1970 would look like kinescopically, now you know! Most of the singers seen here were from overseas, interestingly enough...(I liked U.S singer Ann Hilton's comments about how New York City didn't have smog, it just had plain old dirt!)

Thanks, and here's two more kinescoped clips from 1970: A flute performance (actually mimed)....I believe she was still performing in the 2010s, which is cool: The second clip needs to be explained. In the late-1960s, Ford in the U.S. created a music group called The Going Thing to perform promotional records for them. Meanwhile, in Australia, Ford created another group called The Going Thing, again to perform promotional records. The Australian version of the group is seen in this clip and was much more popular than their American counterpart:

Thanks so much again Mr. Dacron for sharing these also .
