Yes, though I haven't seen it in much too long. Love Wong Kar-Wai's films, even "My Blueberry Nights", which doesn't get much love.

Yep. Though personally I'd probably rank at least 5 other WKW films above it. He's a strong contender for my all time favorite director.

I am. Once in a blue moon I hanker for more of the first story. The fact the film segued into a different story took my by surprise upon first viewing. Nonetheless, I like Chunking Express a lot. I'm a big fan of everything Wong Kar-wai has done that I've seen.

I'm working my way through his filmography. I'm down to The Grandmaster and Ashes of Time. I like the first story, but I'm probably with the majority in preferring the second. Talk about a manic pixie dream girl.

It’s not one of my favourites from WKW but it’s a terrific film.

I'm not sure I have a preference, but the first story gave me intense cliffhanger feelings that still linger. That's probably weird.

I'm sure the peach guy eventually found love. This is one of my favorite movie shots:

Think I probably prefer the slightly darker, more sombre first story. Definitely due a rewatch. His whole filmography actually.

Think I probably prefer the slightly darker, more sombre first story. Definitely due a rewatch. His whole filmography actually. Do you wonder whatever became of that woman? She could have gone on to rule the underworld or be shot dead in the next long train station corridor. That's what I like about the first story. It gave me so many questions. I felt great after the second story. I felt closure and optimism, but the first one made me thirst. Maybe that's part of its charm. Maybe it's better to have it an open-ended mystery than a real resolution.
I think Wong Kar-wai has a thing for people of the night, and the first half of Chunking Express is a perfect example of that.

I did, the first time I saw it, I kept expecting it to loop back to that story. Now I appreciate the ambiguity, we were never meant to know. We just get these hazy fleeting glimpses of these characters, which is always the way with Wong.
