Not bad black comedy filmmaking debut for "Bobcat" Goldthwait, who's in fine form. Good supporting cast, especially Tom Kenny as the villain and Robin Williams (billed as Marty Fromage) as a mime teacher. I never found it all that funny, but I can see how some people might enjoy it.

Indeed, Adam Sandler is in it too (one of his earliest film roles). He plays one of Shakes' buddies.

I do have a copy on DVD, but have not seen it for a while but I remember that it was a very uneven film with some rather funny/memorable moments, and some not so much, and yeah, I do remember Adam Sandler (even back then he sure could ruin a scene by just being there). One of my favorite scenes is when Shakes shows up at a birthday party, with a big hangover and is late, and is met by the uptight asshole dad who is played by Bobcat's or Zed's (from the Police Academy 3 and 4) good ol' pal and room mate Tim Kazurinsky (Officer Sweetchuck).
