Well it's definitely making more money today because it's at about $25 million or so as of 8:30pm. Which is about $48 millionish for the weekend so far so it could pass $800 million worldwide today. Oh well it's definitely going over 60 for the weekend then Yeah easily, looks like it did around $28 million on Saturday. With the $23 million it made from before that's about $51 million so far. So really it should do a good $70 million or more for the weekend.

Must suck to be you right now, because the whole world pretty much disagrees with you. What do you want from me? You fucking stalker. Go and waste your time, and annoy another user. Mentally retarded freak. Right back at you. Your hate these superhero films, and yet feel the need to waste your time on topics about them to throw insults at all the fans.

It looks like it's made about $20-21 million so far on Sunday as of 10:15pm.
So it should have had an opening weekend of about $70-72 million, give or take a little bit depending on accuracy and whatever exchange rate they officially use.
When Box Office mojo updates it in a couple hours it might be above Wonder Woman and the original Spider-man's worldwide gross.

I'm so glad for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Couldn't happen to a better movie.

823!!!!!
Amazing to see, and it still has a lot to go. What's your top end prediction now scabab? That it doubles the 72 opening in China for at least 895?
You were right, it definitely has a shot at 900.

You were right, it definitely has a shot at 900. China is so unpredictable that it's very hard to say. Films are really frontloaded there anyway, double the opening weekend would be good enough but they can really collapse. As a high end though IF it can double the opening weekend then between $895-905 could happen as a high end probably.

I will never understand why anyone cares how much money a movie makes.
Some of my all time favorite films made next to nothing.

I will never understand why anyone cares how much money a movie makes. Some of my all time favorite films made next to nothing. It's usually because it depends on the future of the series. If you like a movie then you'd generally want a sequel so it needs money in order for it to get a sequel. So when the movie does well then people are pleased because it usually guarantees it. Fantastic Four came out a couple years ago, bombed tremendously and that's it now, they won't bother now.

For example, I would liked to have had sequels to Speed Racer (2008)But, I honestly don't think there was ever any risk of not having a sequel to SM:H!

SMH will be the biggest CBM of the year box office wise after its run comes to an end. Also the movie of summer. Perfect.
Thor Ragnarok will probably beat SMH. Justice League will make WW bucks but thats it. I have the feeling JL will suck hard. Like the retarded cousin of BvS.

Hey, poelzig and @mellomoviereview , you were saying something about Spider-Man: Homecoming being a flop? I never said it was a flop. I said The Amazing Spider-Man 2 made almost 750M world Wide and it was ALL Sony money. Sony has to split Homecoming with Marvel Studios. Sony was hoping for 1B+ with Homecoming. So it's a DISAPPOINTMENT not a Flop. This Chinese Box Office doesn't change that.

Marvel/Disney own the rights to the Spider-man merchandise. They make their money in this case from there. Its a win-win for both studios.

Looks like it made between $6.2-6.6 million on Monday.
Puts it up to $829 million worldwide.
