"Yes, I will eventually kill you, but I assure you you'll be in perfect health when you die."There's not much to say about comic book artist Josh Baker's (Eric Roberts) self-confidence as he stumble upon the woman of his dreams Cheryl (Janine Turner), but just as he tries his best to close in on getting a date, she suddenly collapses right in front of him, and before he even knew what is going on, an old ambulance rushes off with her. Unfortunately it is not the kind of ambulance you want to take a ride in, and as Josh are about to learn that he ain't the only one who have been keeping an good eye off Cheryl. One of Larry Cohen's more overlooked b-movie thrillers, and one that is both a lot of fun and comes with some nice thrills and surprises along the way. It also packs an impressive cast with Eric Roberts doing a great job as the leading man and with James Earl Jones putting in some great lines, you also have Megan Gallagher, Janine Turner, Red Buttons plus a small but nice cameo of legend Stan Lee in there along the way. Maybe not one of his best films, but still a entertaining little gem that I loved seeing on VHS late at night, and I was very glad to see it has finally found its way onto DVD.

Fun, intense Cohen film. Nice sense of dark humour too and Eric Roberts doing his best Eric Roberts' impersonation. How about James Earl Jones putting all that effort into chewing his gum.

Anything by Cohen sucks. This was no exception.
