I said it at the time Abbott went Kolpak and left Saffers behind - big loss to them.

Interesting that there have been only 3 occurrences of a bowler taking more than seventeen wickets in a first class match.
And only one in the last 157 years.

That's the point hosko is making, we had the one day World Cup before The Ashes series, to have any more international one day cricket in England this year would be a major over kill. Cricket season finishes here next week. Got the Blast finals day on Saturday and the last round of Count games, and that's it.

Yep. 48 ODI matches is plenty for one summer.

Just looking at next years England home fixtures, they have OZ over for T20 and One Dayers. Windies and Pakistan are the touring test teams.

Australia's home fixtures look like 3 T20s v Sri Lanka,3 T20s v Pakistan. 2 tests v Pakistan, 3 tests v NZ, then 3 ODIS in India and 3 T20s and 3 ODIS in Saffer while Womens World T20 is on. Then home for 3 ODIs with NZ in March.
In the womens 3T20s and 3 ODIs with Sri Lanka, a 6 game T20 tri series with India and England and the World T20.
With TV coverage every women's match is FTA on either 7 or 9 while only the men's tests are shown anywhere but cable and Kayo.
