Katz's in NYC. On Long Island, tons of great delis to choose from.

I love in Long Island and I haven't really found a great place. Not that I've looked all that hard. I am not impressed with Subway anymore. Their sandwiches just get skimpier and skimpier and the selection never grows. Places like quickchecks you can really get a great hero. I hit up this gas station in PA I can't think of the name, where you choose your sandwich on the screen and they make it. Also at wawa's they do that. Those to me are the best sandwiches and make subway look like complete garbage.

For a chain, Quiznos is good. I prefer a mom & pop type place called Bob-O-Rino's in the Chicago area.

The first picture is what I got the first time and second pic is what I got the next time. Wish there was a Quiznos closer to where I live.

Every quiznos I've seen close to me went out of business. But the sandwiches are amazing.

They closed it down years later.

Used to be Al's Italian Beef, but they closed all their branches outside of Chicago. Probably Pop's now, though they're overpriced and don't compare to an actual Philly cheesesteak.

Of course you're not impressed with Subway, it's monotonous mass-produced shit. You have to stay away from the chains and hit up the local delis. If you're in Nassau, check out the chicken club at My Hero in North Merrick. Also, try an Italian sandwich at Sorrento's of Long Beach - it's an old school Italian deli with no real menu, you just ask for an Italian sandwich and they'll whip one up for you. I'm not as familiar with the Suffolk local shops but I'm sure there are tons of them.

It's only about a mile from my house so I'll check that out. I should look for a suffolk place too to hit up on the way to work.

If you go at peak lunch or dinner hour, there is always a line out the door. Good luck! Their stuff is always good, but the chicken club is what people wait in line for.
