With three months to go, there's still a great selection of films yet to come out, Thor, Justice League, Star Wars, etc ... But I think I'm more pumped The Foreigner with Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, than Justice League and Star Wars. Can't wait to see Jackie on the big screen again!

I wonder if Jackie Chan still has some moves? I really like a lot of his films but I thought he had became sort of a pawn of the Chinese government in recent years. Although that may have been because his son was arrested by the Chinese for having weed.
Now that's the plot of a thriller for you. Wealthy Asian kid caught with a joint and tossed in a Chinese prison and his former action star dad has to get him out by any means necessary. I smell a Golden Horse for me and for Jackie. I'll send both of y'all free tickets.

i'm invested in Star Wars and Blade Runner but there's a pretty good chance for both of those to go South. i'm an MCU fan but not too hyped for Ragnarok.
Flatliners, maybe. the first one was great and not really popular enough to revisit out of cash grab shenanigans. plus it has Ellen Page.

For what i expect to be released this year there are basically no movies i got any legit hopes for(i.e. movies i think have a good chance of 7/10 or higher status from me) but there is still some ill see that could be decent.
with that said... there is some i have some interest to watch but nothing i expect to reach 7/10 or higher status as 2016 and 2017 have been pretty weak years overall as just looking at the current decade you can tell 2016 and 2017 are pretty weak for me giving the following info...
volume of movies i gave a 7/10 or higher in the current decade on a per-year-basis...
2010 = 9 movies 2011 = 9 movies 2012 = 9 movies 2013 = 11 movies 2014 = 6 movies 2015 = 8 movies 2016 = 0 movies 2017 (so far) = 1 movie (and i don't really expect anything else to make 7/10 or higher status as even the movie that did, came out of no where, as it's like i found out about it basically about the time i seen it and prior to seeing it i knew it had potential because of the directors previous movie and it was of similar enough subject matter)
so as you can see after 2015 things fell off a cliff based on volume of movies in a given year i give a 7/10 or higher. hopefully 2018 improved at least a little from 2016 and 2017.
or look at things this way, which shows you how weak 2016/2017 have been overall... the last time i did not have AT LEAST four movies in a given year that i scored a 7/10 or higher would be 1998 as that's only got one. basically from 1993 to date ALL years have at least four movies or more than i score a 7/10 or higher except 1998/2016/2017.
NOTE: anything i score a 7 or higher is within my Top 196 movies which are My Favorite Movies.

Justice League
I was going to say The Last Jedi but I was so disappointed with The Force Awakens.
Im also curious about Blade Runner 2049 because I love the original but I have my doubts.

I already saw mine, Dunkirk.
I'm interested in the Gary Oldman Churchill project though.
