Anyone out there a fan of this movie? I love it! I wasn't sure if there was a thread about it already. It definitely deserves one.

One of my favorite 2010's horror films. Original and creepy. And I love it's score!

It started out great but then went full on scooby doo.

It started out great but then went full on scooby doo. How so? The whole pool scene was straight out of a way a scooby doo episode would end. All that was missing was pulling off a mask and the 'ghost' saying how they would have gotten away with it if not for those pesky kids.

One of my favourite 2010s horrors. Just pure fun with a little bit of a retro feel. Simple enough but nonetheless novel concept that was flawlessly executed.

It Follows suffers from some serious plot holes, like why they don't just keep moving? Since the creature moves on steady walking speed it should be really easy to keep distance. Just drive to another state and take a flight to another country from there. With the creature's speed that would give them months to figure out what it is and how to deal with it. The pool scene ending didn't really work - in fact it was a bit funny.
As a whole it was a good movie, I just don't think it's a modern modern classic or anything like that. The subtext made it interesting but also caused these serious problems with the narrative. It doesn't really make much sense on the surface level so they should have worked on the script a bit more.

And who would like to live like this? Another thing is, how would they get the money to live for a few months? They were teenagers and they had to go to school. If they would just escape from their everyday lives I think that the police and their parents will be looking for them. They decided to fight with this thing instead of running away forever. And they won, so I think they made the best decision.

But did they win? Many people think the kid seen walking behind them as they hold hands at the end of the movie is IT FOLLOWING them.

I agree. They pretty much decided to give up fighting and running and put up with it. Which isn't really much of a win. I guess the only way you could say they won is that they weren't killed.

I think they did the best thing they could in that situation. To be honest - we don't know if that thing even can be killed. But I think they did kill it and that that guy in last scene was just a random guy. Girls were just paranoid after all that happened to them.

I don't think they killed it, mostly due the fact that whatever "It" is..."It" is a supernatural being and my experience in horror movies has taught me that the supernatural can't be killed. I know that may not apply to this movie, but everything the movie showed us up until the end was that it couldn't get killed. Hell it could find who it was looking for by some supernatural intervention. No, "It" wasn't dead at the end.

I haven't seen it in a while and I've only seen it once, but I do remember thinking it was a pretty good movie. I would say that, The Conjuring, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, and The Guest were the most memorable from the genre in the last several years.

I have it watch it again but this is a film I kept thinking about long after watching it. Some genuinely creepy moments.

"It" is student debt - undischargeable in bankruptcy and therefore cannot be killed. Mystery solved.

You know, I watched this "on demand" about six months ago and can't remember a single thing about it. Not what I would call very memorable.

I liked it very much. Highly suspenseful even when the movie wasn't obviously telling you so. Like when they are investigating the first guys old high school. If you look you will see the same person in the background in the beggining of the scene following them with a white coat on. Later on when they are leaving that person is walking directly toward their car. But the characters never realize and the movie never makes a big point about it. Its all in the background though.
