Here are a bunch of my favorite artists, just listed in alphabetical order (hopefully I didn't screw that up too much). . . this is my top 250 or 300 or whatever it is (I didn't actually count it). At this, I'm sure there's some I overlooked, but it at least gives you an idea of my tastes, just in case you would be curious about that (probably because you're trying to make sense of my posts or whatever, haha).

I actually tend to think of most artists in terms of "families"--so that related artists, solo stuff, offshoots, etc. are "one artist" in my view, so for brevity's sake (yeah, right), I didn't list every related artist. For example, I lump Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, etc. all together in the "Return to Forever family." Or I lump Jack, Bruce, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker all together in the "Cream family." But, in some cases--such as Chick Corea and Jack Bruce, I'm a bigger fan of their solo stuff than I am of other members of the family, so I did list some of those separately.
