Charles S. Dutton as Dillon in Alien3
It's a shame we don't see much of him anymore because Dutton crushed it as Dillon, and his speech in this scene alone I think really shows it. He should have gotten some kind of nod. I honestly think it could have been possible because Weaver got an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in Aliens.

I don't remember much about Dutton in Alien 3 to be honest but he is a good actor and was certainly award-worthy in Cookie's Fortune.

John Cazale in Godfather: Part II. In my opinion, he's better than all the other supporting performances in that film, including De Niro.
There's too many others to list.

Emily Watson had her Oscar for Breaking the Waves stolen by Frances McDormand and her nothing-special performance in Fargo. "OK, Frances, make your eyes really big and say "oh, yah!" Good one. I have a copy of Breaking the Waves, but I haven't watched it for a while. But I remember being blown away by that scene where she's in church, having a 'conversation' with God, and she's speaking both parts. That was pretty intense.
