Calling it now: Thor has a daughter with Jane and she takes up the mantle when she's old enough. That would be a cool idea except that by the time she's "old enough" all the other characters would be mad old. They'd want her to be able to interact with the rest of the MCU. So I imagine that a new character altogether would be best.
It'll be interesting to see how they handle that with Captain Marvel. I assume she's just going to be long lived like Wonder Woman.

This is Brooke Ence. She played one of the Amazons in Wonder Woman and Justice League. Tell me she wouldn't kick ass!
Can she act? Probably a bit old for the role but I think Charlize Theron would be pretty good. I've seen suggestions online that have included WWE's Charlotte Flair. That better not fucking happen.

It would be completely pointless though. Why would they do that when it would be simpler and make more sense to just do a Valkyrie or Sif movie? Because who gives a shit about Valkyrie or Sif.
Female Thor is a strongly established character in the comics who actually kicked ass and sold well.
If they cast it right and make a good movie you'll eat it up the same way you do all the other MCU movies.
Except in the comics it was Jane who became female Thor. Are you telling me you want Natalie Portman to be Thor? Now if you're going to say, "It doesn't need to be Jane, they can make changes so it's not Jane", then I can go back and simply say, why not make it Valkyrie or Sif? Also this: Was uncalled for. I normally think of you as a decent poster and this passive-aggressive shot doesn't fit you.

It will take more than muscles to play the lead character in a female Thor movie.

It seemed like she could. In Justice League she had to act like the weight of a huge block was crushing her, and she acted the shit out of that! LOL
But acting lessons are a thing. Most actors are not martial artists or gymnasts and they get put through several months of pre training. Actors being put through acting classes is not unheard of. And it would be to her careers benefit. I think its do-able.

And just because female Thor she was Jane in the comics doesn't necessarily mean that is HAS to be that way in the movie. They could create a new character. MCU has done stranger things from time to time. Don Blake doesn't even exist in the movies and no one's blinked about that. Quicksilver is dead. Thanos MAIN enemies were Captain Mar-Vell and Warlock, both of which don't even exist yet in the MCU. Changes are made from time to time for consistencies sake.
I could live with Valkyrie from Ragnarok somehow survived the beginning of Infinity War and she becomes the female Thor. That could might work. But can you imagine the farts coming out of people mouths if they made a change that drastic! I think quite a few minds would explode!
As for the other comment, my apologies.

Can she act? I don't know. Can Gal Gadot act? Yeah, it cant be any worse right?
If you guys look up Brooke Ence on Youtube you'll see that she's very vivacious, camera friendly and has an American accent! I think Gal's accent is sexy, but not having to deal with an accent is another plus in transitioning over more cleanly from one field to another (in this case athletics to acting).

Can she act? I don't know. Can Gal Gadot act? Yes, Gadot can act. No, she's not Award winner material and yes, she can use some improvement but all you need to do is compare her to Gina Carano in their FF film to see the difference between someone who can act and someone who can't. Besides, what she lacks in acting skills she makes up for with charisma.

Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. When I said that they should just simply go for a Valkyrie or Sif movie, what I meant was that Valkryie or Sif should be the one to pick up Mjolnir (or maybe Stormbreaker) and take up the mantle of Thor. Valkyrie or Sif on their own is not interesting enough to lead a movie, but a Valkyrie or Sif as Thor is what I meant. Actually, scratch Sif off that list. Now that I've watched Blindspot I'm convinced Jamie Alexander is pretty dry as lead.

She even had a little muscle on her already, and was well liked enough.
Still, a woman, black woman at that, becoming THOR?!? I don't know... the internet can only take so much!!!

She's a woman and she's both black AND latina. The horror! She's also 5'4" and is probably the shortest Asgardian adult you can find. lol. But she sold me on her performance in Ragnarok and I wouldn't mind her taking up Thor's mantle. Besides, if they're going to make waves on the internet might as well just break it. Though if they were to cast a completely new female Thor my vote has always been Blake Lively.
