This is quite likely, for two reasons. First, we kept being told that the "Lord of Light" or whatever powers are resurrecting people do it for a purpose. It may be just a speculation, a guess made by the uninformed trying to make sense of a world they do not understand. Still, there is something working serious "magic" out there and it would seem fitting for such attentions not to be maintained after the purpose is fulfilled. In other words, Jon and Beric Dondarrion might just drop dead after they've been used or at least wither and grow weak, as Melisandre seemed to be doing in her moment of doubt at the start of Season 6. Second, this whole story has been most critical of all forms of hereditary power from the very start. We were told how rebels had to wrench power away from mad men only to see different versions of entitlement cause wars the people of the realm could have dispensed with. Daenerys, who wants to "take what is hers with fire and blood", is no better than any of the others. Having now made Jon the "rightful heir" of the former Targaryen dynasty, his survival and victory would seem to go against all the "teaching" the story has put in the room. No, I don't think the writers will end this with a triumphant return of the feudal principles. They could have Jon renounce the throne, of course, or they could kill him. We'll have to see. For the same reason, Daenerys won't make it either. On the other hand…

In the same way Cersei also inherited power.... Not quite. Cersei took power. It could be surmised she took it as inheritance from her husband but this hasn't been made clear at any time. In a way, her accession to power bears similarities with that of Robert. But the difference is another. If Cersei stays on the throne, it will not be presented as the happy end people have hoped for. It will be the "bitter-sweet ending" in which wars end in a compromise while Jon Snow would be too much of a parallel to the Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings.

I have different opinion don't think Jon will die I mean hope not because he already died once it will be pointless to end it this way especially if they are planning having Dany die too ,if both die then this dragon baby rumor is most likely true and it's just not original or creative enough so the whole point of this story was to bring together two targaryens who produce another targaryen to be the future ruler of westeros ?? We have seen this ending so many times I hope they don't do that on show or books . That picture of a young GRMM wow he really did have looks that favor Jon snow so he kinda based this character in a younger version of himself lol I read writers often do that , Writer of the Twilight books based Bella on herself her own admission.

Killing beloved characters is not pointless, it "breaks the Internet" The non announced point of this story is to portray the horrors of war and denounce the perversities of personal power, hereditary or not. Daenerys is just the last monster to turn up in it. Jon Snow has no glasses in the books, by the way.

It seems to have become their primary goal: give the masses what they want, cheap thrills they can ejaculate about on social media or in Youtube reaction videos.

Jon proved himself a true leader in everything. He rose to the position of Lord commander (sort of equivalent of a king in Nights Watch) because he proved himself. He was chosen king by people because they trusted in him. Now that Jon will save the mankind from the others, his primary recognition will be that of a saviour. That it will be revealed that he is the true heir of Iron Throne will not bring resentment in people of seven kingdoms for he will be their loved hero. Cersei inherited power because she was an ex queen and a Lannister. She already had the power and resources and simply extended her position of dominance. Nowhere she did from scratch like Jon did or even Dany did.

Lol he said he cried not because of the show but having to film last scenes with his fellow actors I think he cried about both obviously the ending will be dramatic in some way
