the Oscar envy is strong with this one. DCEU after 4 movies is in a very elite club next to Star Wars, LotR etc; alas MCU with 16+ films must stay outside, but in good company with Transformers and Twilight. Don't let the door butthurt you on your way out. You're really clinging to a Makeup Oscar for dear life... ...It reminds me of how when Halle Berry came to get her Razzie for Catwoman she was still clinging to her Oscar for dear life. Reminds me, how many Razzies does the MCU have? not for dear life, but the jealousy of MCU fans is a source of lifelong amusement. ...it reminds me when the weirdraptor claimed that i am just a 16 year old child working at McDonald, I told him that I hold two academic titles, which gave him meltdown and nervous nose bleeds. I found his personal incredulity and anger strangely rewarding as it shows that some things you take for granted just are not. As for Razzies, I take the bad with the good, but I am afraid the MCU even fails on this front as it's just too mediocre for it's own good? But to be fair, Inhumans, Iron Fist and Raccoon Turd 2 have truly deserved some of these. Hahahaha, MCU is still famous for its huge turds, so don't get sensitive nipples about it, sam.

When the dceu actually has something substantial then come back and talk. The fanboy dost protest too much, methinks. Always a pleasure, Clark.

I don't know what goes through his mind so if he reacted like that (and I'm sure there's hyperbole on both ends here) that's between you and him. No, it just doesn't sell-out. Critical acclaim, commercial acclaim, no Razzies....all DCEU has is an award for makeup. GOTG2 will probably be nominated for a VFX Oscar. I have to wonder how you'll react if they win.

Come on now ease up.
The DCEU has an Oscar. Marvel doesn't.
The DCEU has Razzies. Marvel doesn't.
It all levels out.

I gotta wonder how the DC fans will spin it when GOTG2 wins an Oscar for VFX.
Hell, the rate it's going Thor Ragnarok might win one for something.

Haven't seen the first one yet...but a second one is not surprising....I mean come on, we all know they're going to make another one. We all know the movie is going to make money too.

I guess they would be gentlemen about it and just say "Welcome to the Oscar Club, what took you so long, fellas?". I personally would be quite surprised as I exclusively heard Oscar buzz surrounding other CBMs, but anything goes. If the Academy experts really deem the GotG2 VFX Oscar worthy, so be it. Let's see about that, shall we?

After all, GOTG1 was nominated for an Oscar.

That's nice. Meanwhile, Marvel's already got Avengers 4 in the works. What does that have to do with anything? This is the DC board.

If a butterfly can start a storm, imagine what a raptor's bad breath will do.

Yep, in a thread that didn't mention Marvel and had nothing to do with Marvel, the jealous MCU troll who's calling for others to be banned is the 1 who turns this into a DC vs Marvel thread.
