You're welcome. I fondly recall listening to this show as a kid, all the time.....ESPECIALLY on those long family trips in the car, when these one hour shows were like GOLD to me and my bored siblings, sitting in the back seat, with no place to go, and nothing to do.... SAVE FERRIS

Is this the EG Marshall hosted series? I like his version of A Christmas Carol.

I heard the first episode when it premiered on WOR in NYC. My favorite was The Return of the Moresbys, a real creepy story about reincarnation.

Recently listened to The Believers again. One of all time favorites, and the way it ended leaves lots of room for interpretation, just like the Ninth Volume episode.

There were 1399 episodes of CBSRMT (and I thought Suspense's 946 was a truckload). Anybody want to recommend some titles? Maybe a top 10 episode list? Normally I avoid listing but for newbs it can be useful. You can DL episodes here at Archive.org

Here is a plot description for each episode. Top 15 off the top of my head. These are my personal faves so they have a sci-fi, supernatural bent rather than a straight up murder mystery. 9th Volume The Summer People The Girl Who Found Things Horror Story What a Change in Hilda Voices of Death Crack in the Wall Phantom Lullaby The Frontiers of Fear The Waiting Room Island of the Lost Possessed by the Devil Good Times Express A Point in Time How to Kill Rudy

Let me add:
Mother Love Sunset to Sunrise The Believers Land of the Living Dead Message from Space The Devil's Boutique
There are lots more. A really good series, though the quality dropped a bit after EG Marshall left.

Been listening to them. Only heard a few before. "The Return of the Moresbys" Richard Moresby (Patrick O'Neal) murders his wife after she bequeaths her fortune to a religious guru he finds suspicious, but strange animal behaviors lead Richard to believe she's seeking retribution from beyond the grave. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ-XGl8Z_dI

I heard it when it first aired on WOR in New York City. It featured Kim Hunter. Fantastic story.
