I have said it before, and I will say it again...
If a movie like BvS can rake in $330 million domestic (similar to both Guardians of the Galaxy) while it is almost universally considered to be terrible...
Just IMAGINE what a GOOD Superman/Batman movie can make.

Well The Dark Knight was a good Batman movie and domestically that adjusts to over $660 million.
A Batman vs Superman could easily have made Avengers level money if the quality was up there. Infact if that movie had been as good as Wonder Woman it would have more than likely have out grossed Avengers Age of Ultron.

And this is why DC comics will always have an upper hand...they have Superman. No matter how much time has passed or how popular other superheroes get...they still aren't Superman.

She claims that $90-$100 million is still a good OW for Justice League, but I doubt WB wants their big team-up movie to gross basically half of The Avengers OW back in 2012. If Justice League opens to $90 million, that would be a big disappointment, especially if Wonder Woman grossed $103 million on its OW.

Don't you mean Batman? He's gotta be the most popular superhero around who has had the best run of success as far as Superheroes go. Superman has struggled quite a bit. Which is odd because he's the most well known of them all but those 80's movies flopped, Superman Returns disappointed and Man of Steel....that did alright I suppose.

Superman is a popular character, but he's not a draw like everyone else say he is. Superman Returns in 2006 underperformed and Man of Steel, while still considered a hit, didn't make as much as TDK and TDKR even with 3D. Batman brings people to theaters, Superman not so much.

Superman Returns did ok financially, but disappointed with critics and fans. Batman is a draw, no question...but Superman is just part of western culture, moreso than any other...but Batman is without question a close second.

Sounds like a reasonable assessment. She is one of the best for a reason.

Superman struggles because of fatigue and concept issues, Batman has certainly claimed the CBM throne from him since the late 80s. But you did not mention that Supes had a string of successful shows such as Lois & Clark, Smallville or the current Supergirl or the animated shows. The character is not doing as badly as some people are suggesting.

Hell I see more Superman merch than Iron Man, Wolverine, flash and Captain America. He's still got it. And I say this as someone who isn't even a fan of him.

DC has been mucking with him for decades which is the probem. They lost faith in him
