Is steppenwolf being funny? Because that's more of a cliche villian line.
The Batman line did have a Whedon feel to it.

"I'm not the one who brought a pitchfork."
There's been an abundance of quips since the comic con trailer, they are just now noticing? But you know, at least the above line made me chuckle. What concerns me is what appears to be yet another skybeam of doom at :45.

You have the one when he tells Gordan that them being a team is temporary. When he tells Flash that his power is being rich. When Flash tells him he'll join and he's like "Really?" Aquaman talks to fish line. The newest one about that being the opposite of how the saying goes. There are lots of lighthearted Batman moments. Hell we can go back to the Nolan movies and find a whole bunch. Batman isn't all doom and gloom...

He even had the minor controversial "So that's what that feels like" line.

Talk about being in character, method actors.

Talk about being in character, method actors. I always saw it as a vocalizer. There is the scene in Batman Begins when Scarecrow lights him on fire and he's calling Alfred for help. You'd think he'd stop doing it, but you can kinda hear the vocalizer shorting out.

Sir, you just managed to make an undisputed masterpiece of a trilogy a tad more masterpiece-y.

His voice sounds doubled to me.

All those funny lines were there in the previews before Whedon came on board. This notion that ONLY Whedon contributed anything funny or good is kinda narrow minded.

I have a feeling that Whedon is going to ruin this movie.

People are only noticing it now because Whedon is there, but they aren't thinking about the stuff that was there before Whedon came on board. The only thing that Whedon does better than Snyder is not really telling you that was a line or moment you are suppose to laugh at. Like the talks to fish line. Right after he says it Affleck does this head nod things. I'd say that was Affleck, but Gadot does it also in BvS when Doomsday knocks her back.

DC fans are not anti humor. They just think it's a bit ridiculous that during heated battles with lives on the line EVERY mcu character is firing off one liners non stop. It's that non stop silliness that makes people believe the mcu is aimed at little children and if people older than 10 like them too it's just gravy.

My husband of 20 yrs went to bed early while I was doing stuff in the kitchen. After I finished I sat down to watch the news, but fell asleep. I woke in the morning to go to the gym, walked past the bedroom, saw my husband lying on the bed. He was a horrible practical joker so I told him to stop teasing & went about my business in the bathroom. When I came back to the bedroom he was still lying on the bed so I turned the light on & realized he wasn't teasing. I made all the calls I needed to. Waited for the paramedics to arrive. Made a few stupid jokes on some of the calls. I was numb. I remained numb until after the viewing. Husband lying dead. I did CPR on him. I can't say who or what on the lame jokes, but I know I made them because I was trying to stay calm, not think about how my life had totally & completely changed Tell me again what you know about real life, poelzig. I work with a guy like my husband-does horrible jokes. I have told him about my husband, told him it's going to happen to him if he's not careful with the horrible practical jokes.

Just because you thought it's OK to joke about your situation doesn't mean everyone should treat serious moments like a joke. poelzig is not alone. The majority of people agree that the Avengers constantly treating war and people getting killed as a big joke as just silly.
And before any MCU fans make up lies and claim that the Avengers never joked about war, in The Avengers, Iron Man referred to the battle against the Chitauri as a "party". And I didn't make that up. That was in the movie. Aliens invade and are killing people and Iron Man calls it a "party".

How is saying the word "party" a joke? It's just a line of dialogue.
