Zachary Levi will play the title character in New Line and DC Entertainment’s “Shazam!,” sources confirmed to Variety.

No offense to Mr. Levi, but when I think "Worlds Mightiest Mortal" I don't think Chuck. If I were poor little Billy Batson and all I got to turn into was Zachary Levi I would be a little disappointed. That damn old wizard would have to make it up to me some how.
Really? They couldn't find ANYONE else? Hasn't Armie Hammer been sniffing around for one of these roles?

When they announced Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, everyone thought it was a horrible decision and it would fail. But it actually worked out and hell he even got in good shape too.
I say we give this a chance. He might surprise us!

No. His physique is part the whole package (I said package). He has to look strong in order for us to believe that he's strong. Chuck just doesn't do that for me. And its not just muscles either. So does Cavill. He and Levi look the same. Levi just has to tone up a little. And I think Levi's easier smile lends more to Shazam with Cavill's stern face and half smiles for Superman. |

He's over 6'3" tall. With proper training for the role he will be fine.
