Is this another DC film for fans and not the critics?

well in general WB is weird with review embargo, they did this same thing with WW (granted they lifted it early), and they did hold that embargo date for well received films like Fantastic Beasts and Mad Max.
but also, why lift it now? right now Thor3 is the main focus.
now, the movie might just be bad, idk, but as of right now........ we're playing the waiting game.

Mad Max embargo was explained since the world premiere was at film festival, which had a anti-review policy before screenings

I hope it is just WB being cautious, as I think with BVS they went in cocky thinking BVS was going to blow peoples minds and well it didn't, with WW they were cautious and lifted the embargo early once they saw how well people were reacting to it at screenings, and by the positive but brief tweets they were allowed to put out, so maybe WB is just cautious and should it appear more positive than negative lift the embargo early.
Also your right even if you expect it to get rave reviews why let that drop now when everyones attention is on Thor, like really does "Justice League score 85% on RT" really measure up with the reports on Thor opening weekend numbers and stuff like that?
I prefer they be cautious rather than cocky, cockiness leads to bullshit like The Mummy and I want JL to be so much more.

It's had a premiere, there must be some reactions out there.

Don't be ridiculous. The movie will open in Europe before the US, the embargo will still be in place, and with the internet being what it is, everything will be spoiled unless you actively avoid reading posts about the movie.

Is this another DC film for fans and not the critics? DC fanatics' worst fears will be realized if they don't lift the review embargo early like they did with WW. The fact that WB made Whedon shorten the movie running time to 2 hours must also be of some concern. WB know the die hard DC fanatics will pay to see literally ANYTHING they are given within the first 7 days and probably multiple times. So why not take advantage of their rabid partisanship by cramming in as many screenings as possible before news of the latest DC turdburger reaches a wider audience??!! DC fanatics have to admit this is a possibility?

A. This is not a reaction to the movie itself, but to promotional footage. B. It's China. Where shit like Transformers consistently does well. C. The idea that Marvel should "panic" when DC is successful is just the kind of idiotic nonsense one only encounters from drooling fanboys rather than normal, sane moviegoers. Both studios benefit from one another's success--when comic movies of any kind suck, it makes regular film audiences shy away from the next one, no mater who is making it. When they are good, it keeps audiences stoked for the next one, no matter who is making it.

WB never has faith in any of their projects.

This. I mean, I'm already hearing rumors that Superman didnt really die in BvS and will be in this. It could be true, but I don't want to know for sure until November 17th.

The movie opens the same weekend in Europe as in the US: www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015/releaseinfo

They know Snyder left them with an unfixable mess that not even Whedon could make palpable. They have every right to be nervous.

When does the embargo lift? The embargo lifts on November 15, only 2 days before release, 1 if you include Thursday opening night showings. I have a bad feeling that Zack Snyder made another mess of a movie.
