I somewhat enjoyed it, it was just a bit dull and slow in many places. Perhaps too overlong that made it a little boring and a Batman vs Superman movie should never be boring.
They also put too much in there, Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor would probably have been enough.
Wonder Woman, the Darkseid Tease, the Justice League cameos, Wonder Woman, Doomsday and The Death of Superman....too much.
I didn't hate it though but I thought Man of Steel was much better. It was a hell of a lot better than that years Iron Man 3.

Truer words have never been spoken. Nah, you're not obsessed with bad mouthing DC movies on DC boards. Nope. Not even a little...

It wasn't as bad as the reviews made it out to be...
but it WAS pretty terrible.

One of these days, I'm intending to see this one in its entirety (I've only seen clips), just to judge how bad (or not) it is for myself. After the constant critical pillorying since its release, I'm sure it will be slightly better than I'm expecting--maybe? Possibly? Clinging (with apologies to Thayer) to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast? Armond White's [contrarian, naturally] review of it was quite interesting, I must say, though I confess that the principles he articulated are not in accord with my views on superhero movies.

No, if BvS was good Weirdraptor STILL would've posted a bad review on here! And if he couldn't find one he would've created one! LOL

BvS in the UE is an interesting and beautiful slow burn graphic novel put in film - but you must be able to process and appreciate slow burns, and most CBM-fans simply are not willing to do that.
The first two acts are great. The juvenile third one with the hero and monster clobbering not so much - but even that one has brilliant moments like the warehouse fight (Top 3 fistfight scene in CBMs ever) or Supes hovering nuked in space or the development of Bruce's arc from fascist loner to team player and finally founding father of the Justice League.
With most CBM I am not able to sit through them a second time, BvS I saw three times to make an decision. Ultimately, it's a flawed and underappreciated CBM and amongst the more interesting CBMs released since Nolan.
6.5/10 (UE)

Maybe I've just been too hard on him... (?) ...NAH!

To be fair, box office analysists also predicted Wonder Woman to do ok, myself included. I initially thought WW will do Ant-Man numbers, Doctor Strange numbers if it was lucky. Noody saw the phenemenon it was going to be.

After the disasters that were Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Suicide Squad, I had no reason to believe anything else about Wonder Woman. By the way, I still don't own it and haven't downloaded.

Man of Steel wasn't a disaster though. Yes, it was. Any film that has the Jonathan Kent willing to have the children of his friends and neighbors die a horrible death instead of having his son use his powers in any meaningful manner has failed as a Superman movie.

Any film that has the Jonathan Kent willing to have the children of his friends and neighbors die a horrible death instead of having his son use his powers in any meaningful manner has failed as a Superman movie. What a silly and false assertion that is: Kent was not "willing" to let people die. He was conflicted himself what to do and how to act, thus his "Maybe there is something greater at stake here" when asked by Clark (1:05) - which was also very subtly acted. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEfoNXQDWBsThis is also in line with the original movie where old Kent told angry Clark to not to use his powers. In MoS is was only more thought through to the last consequence. It's the classic conflict between two fathers/parents: One (rural/Earthly) telling the son to keep the powers secret and keep a low profile/live a normal Smallville life, the other father (heritage) suggests to use the powers and to become something big. Clark sits in between these interests - the result is the character duality of bumbling Clark Kent and Superman. Your statements show again that you are essentially clueless of (i) the Superman mythos and (ii) of writing theory and (iii) unable of uttering any reasonable criticism against DCEU. QED

How does one side characters opinion in the movie make the entire thing a disaster? What would have been a disaster is if Clark had let them drown.
