the god of Thunder, mighty Thor. As of November 1, 2017, Thor Ragnarok holds a 97% rating on RT based on 145 reviews. That said, I've only posted this information as a reminder that RT scores, solid box office and near-universal acclaim is not the be all and end all. MCU fans, please be humble. Hee hee hee...

I went to see it on Monday. It's by far the best of the three Thor movies, has spectacular visuals and some of the action scenes are tremendous. That said, the incessant humour became tiresome, particularly in scenes that really didn't warrant humour. It was also very disjointed. I rated it 6.5/10.

I'll likely enjoy the hell out of it once it arrives. But if there is one complaint that I can muster about the current slate, it's that. Probably why I enjoyed Civil War and Doctor Strange the most from Phase 3; the latter still being a very funny movie but knowing when to cut it out.

That is how long I have loved Thor. And Cap. I do not know if watching this influenced me to read the comics or if I watched this because of the comics. I told my dad about them & he said his great grandfather came from Denmark so they worshipped Thor. He also remembered reading Cap as a child during WWII. I was daddy's girl. That sealed these 2 as my favorite heroes ever since. They were noble & honorable. They were protectors.
