We're all reasonably intelligent people. Let's be real nerds and dissect this sandwich;even if its' fake, just for kick to kill time.
Basically, he really enjoyed the sandwich for the most part, and even though it was prepared by 2 different chefs, their contrasting styles worked well together. Apparently, the fish was a bit underwhelming, but it does sound like the dark meat was the best he's seen in quite a while, and the wonder-bread definitely seemed to be a highlight. He also says that the icebOrg lettuce turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Whatever, that sandwich talk makes me hungry. Compliments to the chefs I guess? Too bad about all the fish, but I never liked fish sandwich anyway. I don't care about the iceborg lettuce either, though I would have appreciated some reports on whether there were flashes of cooking genius apparent especially regarding the red meat. What I wonder if there is supersize sandwich on the menu too, man, and did it deliver taste wise?

Dare to dream that it gets a positive reaction. It does have one thing going for it...and that's Wonder Woman. Crossing my fingers.

Awesome....wait a minute, what does that mean? Nothing? That is what I thought. 2 weeks out. Opening night crowd (not talking about the Thursday fan event I attended but the Friday night I went to.) Should have been superhero fans Sure Black Panther would get cheers. But Pacific Rim is mech No reason the audience would cheer. The Jedi trailer got a huge reaction Thursday & Friday All the comic fans I speak with have given up on DC movies. They have ZERO expectations. My daughter who LIKED MoS has given up on DC after BvS & SS People HAVE expectations for Marvel because they have delivered for a decade.

That is funny, as most grown ups I have contact with have told me that Wonder Woman was the first superhero film they could actually enjoy without cringing and that was not totally silly. You know, the film just conquered a new market segment and seems to be a hot tip for Globes and Oscars. Most grown up people, especially women, I know start laughing when you bring up Marvel films and say things like big raccoon turd or kiddy kiddy kiddy. Maybe you speak to the wrong people? Maybe you live in an MCU echo chamber? Maybe you need to get some fresh air to get a fresh perspective? No offence.

Alright, thanks once again for providing useless nothingness. Went to a sold out Thursday night showing of Thor. Clearly hardcore comic book fanboys and girls. Not even a clap for Star Wars or any film. See, anyone can provide a slant to it as there are many different types of people. The IMAX theater I attend, miles away from a major city, Justice League has already outsold Star Wars for Friday and Saturday night shows. This is big because the Thursday night shows(3 or 4 shows before 3 am) sold out within a couple hours. See, my examples don't prove Justice League will beat Star Wars, just as your "talking to people" doesn't mean people won't seeing Justice League in large numbers. I'd also add that I have friends who now don't even attend MCU movies because they feel "stale". I pretty much disagree, but does that mean the MCU is in trouble that a larger group feel that way? Nope, not at all.

The thing about talking tom people you know or usually hang around, is that they will usually agree with your views. I provided a few examples that are completely opposite to merh. So, who is right and who is wrong? No one actually. Because the comic book fanbase is so huge. You mentioned Wonder Woman. That film was able to do what no other MCU could do yet, and that is bring in a huge number of women. Can Justice League keep that up since she is advertised front and center?

Yup, it's called Anecdotal Fallacy: one uses personal experience or an isolated example instead of a sound argument or compelling evidence. Like: All my friends and my mom say it's great, only the idiot on the internet, critic, academy and the data disagree with me. Also called the echo chamber effect. You will find these misconceptions quite often on this kind of forum.

It's called adults. Most adults are ashamed of comics. Adult comic book guys are not considered sex symbols. Sorry, if I burst your bubble.

Nah, just the ones ashamed of comics. It's called adults. Most adults are ashamed of comics. Too bad, they didn't learn a thing from CS Lewis: “Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

Maybe I live in the city that has been home to Comic-Con international for the last half century. Maybe one of the guys I talk to is nicknamed "Aquaman" for his love of the character. And most seem to be huge Batman fans. It's a law enforcement crowd.

As I said-San Diego, California. Law enforcement officers. My daughter works for a gaming company. Most of her friends like this stuff. I don't use street drugs or alcohol. I like what I like. I have more manga & anime than I like to think about. 3 trunks of 60s-80s comic books. And I've been female all my life. I actually loved going to comic shops in the 80s because the guys were so goddamned opinionated. I had one guy see I was holding the latest InuYasha So he had to inform me how Rumiko Takahashi named him incorrectly. Yeah.

No, they would not learn anything from that except that someone obtusely claims those who deem something not adult cannot be adults themselves and are in arrested development. It's like saying everybody who think I'm dumb is dumb himself. Circular reasoning and personal incredulity. That's not how it works, alas.

Well, I think you are the first female I talk to who professed her love for comics. But that is just my personal milieu. Maybe they are lying, but then again they will readily admit to [careful explicit references] watching porn and using sexual stimulation devices. But who knows maybe reading comics is a bigger tabu than that. I tried it recently, really did. I still have a fancy copy of Miller's TDK Returns, tried to read it a year ago when the animated film came out - it was a chore, gave up after a few pages, did not even know which picture follows which for continuity... Yeah.

Yeah. I'm in my 30's and I like to read graphic novels. To each their own I guess.
