scabab and @weirdraptor Sorry to be the party-pooper, fellas, but may we settle our differences at the moment or, if not, start a new thread? Not that I want this one to lack fair and robust debate, but it seems we're getting a trifle off-topic. I didn't see this in time to post one more reply. Sorry.

Ultimately, I have to say Batffleck. He combined the best aspects of Keaton and Bale into one package, simultaneously pulling off disturbed vigilante and jacked up playboy. Too bad Snyder leaned on Keaton's serial killing, but that's not really on Affleck.

they all have their merits, but I prefer Keaton and Batfleck, but its very close to Nolan Batman.

Ban and Hauntedknight87I like Conroy a lot too, guys, but I tried to restrict the list only to live-action portrayals, else we’d have many more!

I really liked Michael Keaton's portrayal. He was so average, he blended in as Bruce Wayne and stood out as Batman. He was also really mysterious, imagery, and conflicted. You can tell he didn't really get hyped about much after his parents died.
I didn't really get the same impression from the other big screen portrayals. In a way they came across too ideal, and like their job was just another cool gig for them.

Ben Affleck. He has the better fighting skills. If they adding his high intelligence and his detective skills too, then we have the best live-action Batman.

I can't really pick a fave
Keaton was a brave and surprising bit of casting that worked
Bale - Though I was puzzled that no one noticed Bruce and Bats and the same type of lisp!
Ben Affleck was a surprisingly good Bruce Wayne...shame about the films.
Will Arnett in Lego Batman deserves to be mentioned as well

Kevin Conroy.
Bale, Keaton and Affleck are ok.

M. Keaton as live actor and Kevin Conroy as voice actor. I will admit that I liked Ben Affleck more than I thought I would, but I always preferred the brutal vigilante Batman a la Miller and Burton over the play-it-nice one.

As an overall package Christian Bale. He was the best Bruce Wayne by far. He was also a good Batman even if he wasn't the most comic accurate. I think Ben Affleck is a good Batman in the way of how the character looks and acts too but his Bruce Wayne isn't particularly noteworthy. Michael Keaton also had a good balance like Christian Bale but perhaps on a slightly lower level. ^^This Christian Bale will always be the Batman for me but Affleck looks exactly like Batman should.

Always felt that Val Kilmer was a good Batman in a terrible Batman movie.
But agreed that Kevin Conroy should have been included.

I understand, Larcen26 , but--as stated--I limited this only to the live-action portrayals. That's OK--no? (Unless Conroy once played Batman live-action in something I don't know...?)

OK, everyone now has got a vote except for poor Robert Lowery! I confess I've never seen the '40s Batman and Robin serial, but--uhh--is there anyone who has seen it who'd like to comment?
