The point isn't that Disney is paying the critics to give their movies high ratings. The point is Disney is artificially driving up their movie ratings by banning critics they think would give unfavorable reviews from the pre-release screenings.
Less unfavorable results (because Disney banned those critics) = higher ratings.
That's what they did with Thor: Ragnarok. They banned critics they thought would give them rotten reviews from the pre-release screening. SO Ragnarok was at 99% when it was released. Now it's dropped to 92% or 93%. But the pre-release headlines were "Thor: Raganarok is highest-rated superhero movie ever", which is no longer true since Ranarok's rating has already dropped below The Dark Knight. But the perception that Disney was able to create (by banning critics they thought would give them unfavorable reviews from the pre-release screening) was that Ragnarok is the highest-rated superhero movie ever, even though that perception is false.

Seriously, you honestly believe that bullshit? At least Disney/Marvel is confident enough to release their films for critics 3 weeks in advance. Warner Bros isn't screening Justice League until 2 days before release. Don't be surprised if this is another BvS level mess. Warner Bros shows no confidence because they probably know Joss Whedon couldn't fix Zack Snyder's mess, so they release a cut for fans because they'll like it no matter how shitty it is.

Like Disney cares. They have everyone's attention by the throat on the strength of their brand.

It’s pretty funny that all the banned and boycotting critics gave Thor Ragnarok positive reviews. So much for the theory that excluding them from the advanced screening artificially boosted the initial RT score.

This is a classic DC-Fan pivot. He's knows that the original narrative from anti-MCU fans has always been that the critics were bought and paid for. This OP clearly proves that's not the case so now he's shoveling some new nonsense about "banning." Hee hee hee...
