Most people probably won't rate them as high as the fight sequences in Winter Soldier or Civil War, but I personally think they were better than the average MCU flick. I might rate it slightly higher than Avengers, which would make it 3rd in my book after Winter Soldier and Civil War. How bout you?

We'd have to sit there and discuss the top 3 or 5 fights in each film one by one, which we can do if you like. Actually yes, go ahead and list the fights in the first few films along with ragnarok's and i'll tell you where I rank it. Then we'll move on to the next set.

But when you start going through them one by one, they realize they think 6 or 9 other films are actually better.

I don't remember: what movie won in the end?

Plus honestly, those things usually work out better if you have 100 regulars and we have like 20

I thought they were great, considering what they're working with. There's a huge difference between what you can do with Cap and Spider-Man for example, and Thor, who's on a whole different level of power. The arena duel was fantastic, the hammer POV in the opening fight was inventive and Thor using his lightning the way he always should have was flat out awesome. Plus how can you go wrong with Immigrant Song? I would've liked to see a bit more of Hulk vs. Fenris (or even Surtur) but this wasn't Hulk's movie.
Overall the fight scenes were heavy on CGI but again that's the nature of the beast when you're talking gods, demons and spacecraft.

I think Winter Soldier won that.
But then I started a one on one, each film vs each other film one at a time an I only did a few weeks of that one.

The CGI was solid, and yeah the arena fight was actually really good. I'm glad it went back and forth for a bit, and the part with Thor slamming him along the rail was just awesome.

yeah, that was interesting, when you had to make a direct choice. for me it was interesting because sometimes two movies i really like were put against each-other, or two movies that i'm not really a fan

What finally feels right to me in Thor Ragnarok is the relative strength levels of the characters. The Hulk vs Thor fight had the power levels between the two calibrated just right and the fighting styles matched the characters personalities perfectly. Thor knows how to fight after doing so for millennia and the Hulk uses blinding speed, brute strength and pure savagery to take the upper hand.
Asgardian's are way stronger than humans and "hard to perish." Thor is probably twice as strong as the typical Asgardian. The Hulk is stronger than Thor (though not by much).

Hard to top the Cap movies for fight scenes. But Thor 3 holds its own for sure. That Hela scene where she takes out the Asgard army was epic. Scary woman that Hela. And Thor finally getting fight scenes that do him justice is just as big as Cap finally showing his potential in Winter Soldier.
