I tuned in towards the end of this match: Rhodes was facing Lex Luger for Luger's U.S. title. This was when Luger was a member of the 4 Horsemen. At this point in the match, the ref had gotten knocked down. Luger was charging at Rhodes, who ended up backflipping Luger over the top rope and out of the ring. Another ref made it to the ring just in time to see Luger getting back in the ring and get DDT'd by Rhodes, cover Luger and getting the 3-count. Rhodes was the new U.S. champ... until the first ref overruled the second's decision by disqualifying Rhodes for throwing Luger over the top rope (remember when WCW had that silly rule?). Luger took his championship and went to the back while Rhodes argued in the ring. After a while, Rhodes leaves the ring and goes to the Horsemen's locker room. It takes a while for the camera to get there, when it does, Rhodes has Luger in a sleeper hold and Barry Windham is egging him on. Suddenly, Rhodes starts screaming at the top of his lungs. J.J. Dillon tells Rhodes "Dusty, it's over!" Rhodes let's go of Luger, stands up and replies "It's not over! Not by a Longshot is it over!" He spits on Luger and walks away.
Am I remembering this incident correctly? Whether I am or not, does anyone know where I can find that clip?

There IS a match with those two, but it ends with the DQ.

Oh. Was the match your looking for on the pro show or worldwide? I can’t really remember. I haven’t seen this since it happened in the Eighties.

He was a good ref. I don't remember if I liked him or not as a manager though

He was a good ref. I don't remember if I liked him or not as a manager though He did better as the evil ref than what WWE did with Danny Davis. I guess it would be more believable for one to become a manager than a wrestler.
