Meanwhile, Wonder Woman is on the list and is being considered by the Academy for a Best Picture Oscar nomination. That is outstanding since no other CBM besides The Dark Knight has ever been even been considered for a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
That list is one sites predictions of nomination possibilities. I gave you a list of many sites with predictions and the one you have quoted is one of the very few that mention Wonder Woman as a possible contender for a nomination How is it outstanding? A film some people have said MIGHT be considered for possible nomination...and that buzz died out as time passes and more possible contenders are seen.

Go ahead and post it, that way the whole forum can see him for his lies. Fair enough.
For one thing his stat of 41/46 is misleading to slant the facts, is that fact true? . Surprisingly, for once, he is correct. However he does forget to mentions that the Oscars have since 2009 had more than 5 nominations for best pic. 41 films filling 77 slots over 10 years...not quite as impressive. And actually that might be Wonder Woman's real hope for getting a nomination...that the academy have more nominations than almost every other awards.

I like they went with a male villain first time out, the whole female heroes must have female villains thing is cheesy and lame, so it's nice they didn't go that way right off the bat, it just shows Wonder Woman can handle more than just other ladies which is a good thing to showcase imo.
My issue is more I dislike they wasted the chance to show more nuance to the character, such as she's going on about men being corrupted by Ares, then feeling despondent over man maybe naturally predisposed to war, ignoring how her first thought in solving the problem is to kill, that when Steve suggest saving lives her response is basically that's what I am doing by killing, her being bloodthirsty is overlooked, I don't even recall her caring for the fact her mission was to kill Ares and instead she murdered a somewhat normal man, sure he was evil but still she took him out cold, also dislike how it ended by pissing on the narrative BVS set up, which then JL reinforced.
Basically my issue was the final act which I thought let down what was shaping up to be a great film.
I agree with you to an extent with the rule that female superheroes must only have male villains being lame but the problem is we haven't had hardly any female villains on screen and the last one I can even remember appearing in a DC movie was Poison Ivy (I don't count Catwoman since she is just as much as a superhero now as Batgirl especially with the reveal the only reason she become a thief was to steal things to pay the Doctor's bills for her dying sister) in 'Batman and Robin' who I will always say was a great choice for the character but poorly written. 'Wonder Woman' having a female villain would have been different and would have made Cheetah, Silver Swan, Circe or Decay the second DC female villain to appear in a movie. Hopefully they go with Knightfall over Jim Gordon Jr for 'Batgirl.' The only other problem I have with 'Wonder Woman' is they depowered her for the movie and she doesn't have half the powers she has in the comic books. Aw Deb you've repressed Suicide Squad, makes sense if your one of the many who cant enjoy it for the bad fun like I do, does not explain you not recalling Talia in TDKR though or Zod's 2nd in command in MOS, theres been quite a few female villains in the last 5 years, Enchantreess, Amanda Waller, Talia & Faora , if you count Harley as well as she is a bad guy remember and that's just DC, with Marvel you can also add Hela & Nebula.
I don't usually care about the powers thing so long as the don't butcher a main part of the character, such as the animated JL got rid of Manhunters martian vision as it made him too similar to Superman and instead put attention on his telepathy and shifting powers, Diana had all her iconic powers, maybe not her more lesser known ones but that's the same with Superman or Supergirl if you think back on the powers either ones been assigned over the years, they stick to the power, speed, flight, visions and breathe skillset, which I'm fine with as you don't want to overpower your heroes too much or turn things silly, also they never properly accomadate all the powers or abilities, look at Batman he's never been fully represented in all these films.

Even if it was the best comic book film of all time, it would still just be a comic book film.
