...and he wants to do a Man of Steel sequel that is in line with the classic image. Inicidentally I had an idea for a prospective sequel that included both Brainiac and Supergirl. If Matthew Vaughn is game, go for it. TEXT: While another Superman movie isn't yet in the cards, there at least has been talk of a potential Man of Steel 2 (or whatever they name it) as Henry Cavill's manager a while back stated a new movie is in development. Now Henry Cavill talks about doing a possible new Superman movie with the LA Times, where the Superman actor notes he is only contracted for one more picture. “There’s a wonderful opportunity to tell the Superman story,” Cavill said. “Now there is a fantastic chance to show Superman in his full colors and tell a very complex, character-driven movie that is based on story and have that wonderful sensation of hope and happiness. A feel-good movie with lessons laced in there as well.” Producer Charles Roven did recently offer up that a new Superman movie is a ways off, so there is no release date or official announcement. It's possible Henry Cavill could always appear in a separate movie to fulfill his contract, possibly Shazam! or maybe even the Flashpoint movie, which many are speculating will reboot the DCEU with new actors. Rumors for Man of Steel 2 have includes Brainiac, Supergirl and Matthew Vaughn as director. www.cosmicbooknews.com/superman-henry-cavill-talks-possible-man-steel-2

If he bows out almost as soon as Affleck, I don't know how they COULD do it now. They can't do The Death of Superman, but they already wasted that, but there's no way to explain Superman's sudden absence except to have him just die for good in the series. If he wants out, they have to kill him. Again. But they can't do that because now he can just be resurrected. But they can't keep him alive without creating a massive plot hole... But they can't kill him again, because now he can just be resurrected... But they can't keep him alive because...

It's done. I'm sure they can come up with some BS excuse why Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman are the same. Or maybe they even wait until after Aquaman to see how the audience like the standalone movie before committing to anything. If that bombs too, they could easily shitcan everyone who isn't Gal Gadot.

My guess is if the DCEU somehow continues they'll just try to make a deal to keep him for (insert number of films). If not, DJ Cotrona might have a second shot at Superman.

So I'm guessing that Flashpoint really will reboot the DCEU.
This is going to be one hell of a series to revisit in the future!

You can't really "waste" Death of Superman considering it's a gimmick comic everyone knows he comes back from. They could always go the Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow route, which is a more poignant end for his character than getting beating to death by a random monster anyway.

MOS fanboys applauded their worthless "reboot" rehashing "General Zod escapes the phantom zone, swears revenge, and lands on earth and demands they give him the son of Jor-El or he will start murdering innocent people one by one" plot, and talked about how "fresh" and "new" and "bold" and "ambitious" it was for their worthless DCEU "reboot" universe to keep using Lex Luthor and General Zod as the baddies over and over again, after DECADES of seeing the SAME tired premises in Superman movies. You fanboys will reap what you sow. You're happy with worthless recycled trash? That's what WB should keep shoveling towards you. You asked for it, you happily paid for it, eat it up, fanboys.
