Going by the book: Bilbo, Gandalf and Bombur Going by the films: Bilbo, Gandalf and Balin
Most of the dwarves are sadly a bit interchangeable, especially in the book where only Thorin, Balin, Bombur and Dori ever have much to say.

I wasn’t really that attached to/invested in any of the characters from The Hobbit trilogy like I was with The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but of the characters who actually got lines, I think I liked best... Bilbo - Martin Freeman made some really interesting acting choices when playing the role, I thought. He gave Bilbo a lot of nuance and made certain scenes have much more impact than they would have had without him. Balin - He seemed the nicest of the dwarves. Dwalin – Mainly because of that scene between him and Thorin in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. I thought Graham McTavish was so good/made the most of that scene.
